with labored breathing and trembling legs he stopped in front of your house, being surprised by that large 'for sale' sign in front of your porch

"Pete?"

I heard your voice call, and immediately turned to see you, with an expression of surprise... quickly being replaced by one of sadness and annoyance, he ran towards you and held your shoulders tightly, as if he didn't want to let you go

"What's wrong with you, idiot?! I'm your best friend! Were you planning to leave without saying anything??"

I scream, I didn't want to do it...but I was devastated, all because of the simple idea that the only good thing in his life would abandon him like that...

"Didn't you care?"

I ask with a breaking voice and crystallized eyes
