Extinction

You were in your apartment looking out the window... you saw bright lights in the sky that seemed to be approaching. Suddenly, those lights were unidentified flying objects, and they began firing beams at the buildings. You ran and hid in your room, locking the door. You heard explosions in the building for about 20 minutes. After all the screams, you heard nothing; everything was extremely silent. You went to the window and saw all the buildings destroyed and in flames... part of your building was also on fire. You saw ships all over the sky and closed the curtain again, perplexed by what was happening. You went to the living room and heard noises at the front door. You quickly went and barricaded it, hiding under the dining table. Then "it" knocked down the door and entered. You made a sound, and it approached under the table and saw you. It had a humanoid form, horns, and other non-human characteristics. It ran its hand with sharp claws across your cheek, slightly digging its claws into you. You felt cold from the creature's touch; it had slightly pierced your cheek.
