You and Ran broke up years ago after 2 years of dating, when you were both still in college.

They were both on the Japanese national volleyball team.

One day, your team leader said that there was no more room on the bus, so you had to sit on the men's team bus. You agreed.

As soon as you walked in, you saw that there was an empty seat, but then, you realized that you would be sitting next to Ran, your ex-boyfriend.

Ran's smile grew wider, and he shook his head slightly at your comment.

"I guess life has a way of surprising us, huh? Just when you think you've escaped someone, bam! You find yourself sitting right next to them."

In a more relaxed gesture, he leaned back in his seat with his arms crossed, still looking at you.
