universe/TV series

"Hamster & Gretel" is a new animated series created by Dan Povenmire that follows the adventures of 9-year-old Gretel and her pet hamster, "Hamster", who are granted superpowers by aliens. Together, they work to take down various villains while keeping their abilities a secret. The show premiered on Disney Channel on August 12, 2022, and is the 94th animated series produced by Disney Television Animation. The story focuses on Gretel, her pet Hamster, and her brother Kevin, who was seemingly skipped over when the aliens granted superpowers to the others.

the three do their best to protect their city from a wide selection of peculiar supervillains, with Hamster and Gretel facing the dangers upfront while Kevin aids from the sidelines. The three also have decided to keep Hamster and Gretel's superhero alter egos a secret from their family and acquaintances, with the only person knowing about the secret since the early beginnings being Kevin and Gretel's cousin, Fred Grant (although over time, more of their friends and family appear to learn about it as well).

hamster

Hamster (possibly Hamster Grant-Gomez) is one of the titular protagonists of Hamster & Gretel. He is the pet hamster of Gretel. He and Gretel have been bestowed superpowers by aliens and instructed to use them for good. Their superhero personas are kept secret for mostly everyone, including Gretel's parents Dave and Carolina. Gretel's big brother Kevin, their cousin Fred, their grandmother Abuelita Gomez, and Gretel's best friend Bailey are among the only people that know about their secret identities.

Unlike his owner, Hamster is more mature and collected, knowing exactly what to do in most situations. While Hamster is given the ability to talk, he's often quiet and doesn't emote much beyond a bored expression. When he does talk, he tends to quip about the current situation in a somewhat jaded tone.

Hamster has tan fur with a lighter snout and belly and a large brown spot on his back. His resting face looks very bored. Hamster also has a deep voice, like a grown man. This is likely due to the fact that Hamster is already an adult hamster (as male hamsters reach their maturity between 4-6 weeks after birth).

In his superhero form, he wears a yellow jumpsuit with an orange cape and a white insignia depicting an orange letter H inside of it. Usually, he doesn't wear anything, because he's a hamster.

Personality Hamster is usually deadpan and stoic, and when not doing superhero duties he goes at his own pace. He tends to speak monotonously, which is already a rare occasion to begin with. He also likes to mess with Kevin. He is also caring towards others (especially Gretel) and is somewhat fond of Kevin.

Powers and abilities Superpowers Aliens have given Gretel and her pet Hamster "powers unimaginable", which includes a variety of superpowers, including the following:

Flight - Both Hamster and Gretel are able to fly in the air and remain airborne in place. Super speed - Hamster and Gretel are also able to fly super fast, or at least "faster than a scooter", as the intro theme song states. While not as fast as speedy villains like Crimson Haste, they are able to somewhat keep up with her during a chase. Super-strength - Hamster is able to throw hard punches and kicks. The intro theme also states that she and Hamster are "stronger than metal." "Superhero Sibling Rivalry" also reveals that Hamster and Gretel are able to lift 157 tons (in weight) between them, but not 200 tons. Instant costume change - Hamster and Gretel are both able to change from their current outfit to their superhero outfit and vice versa. Human speech and intelligence - Thanks to the superpowers granted by the aliens, Hamster also gained the ability to talk and think like a human being. His ability to speak was not revealed until the end of "Empower Failure" however, to which Gretel reacts in surprise. Heat vision - While heat vision is predominantly used by Gretel, Hamster is also able to use it, as seen in "Micromanager". Indestructibility - Hamster gained a much sturdier body structure that gives him immunity to electricity, best exemplified in "Hamnesia". However, the same episode also shows that Hamster still can get amnesia when hit by a tractor-trailer on his head.

Gretel

Gretel Grant-Gomez is one of the titular protagonists of Hamster & Gretel. She is the owner of Hamster, the little sister of Kevin, and the daughter of Dave and Carolina. She and her pet Hamster have been bestowed superpowers by aliens and have been instructed to use them for good. Only a small amount of people, notably Kevin and their cousin Fred, know about their superhero identities, as this revelation is kept secret for everyone else, including her own parents and her best friend Bailey (until My Invisible Friend).

Having attention deficit hyperactivity disorder[6] and being 9 years old,[4] Gretel is the more impulsive one of the superhero duo, having little patience for several things. Kevin often aids the two, trying to teach Gretel how to be a responsible superhero.

Character information Full name:Gretel Grant-Gomez Other names:Li'l G/Little G Gretelbeans Age:9 Gender:Female Species:Human Home:Tri-State Area Occupation:Superhero Eastside Elementary School student Wrestler (as "The Bearded Stranger") Relatives:Kevin Grant-Gomez (older brother) Fred Grant (paternal cousin) Carolina Gomez (mother) Dave Grant (father) Melissa Gomez (maternal aunt) Stacy Grant (paternal aunt) Papá (long lost paternal great grandfather)[5] Abuelita Gomez (maternal grandmother) Unnamed paternal grandfather Pets:Hamster Churro (dog) Friends and allies:Bailey Carter (best friend) Tina Grobla Nordle Exclamation Kelly Enemies:Professor Exclamation El Luchador The Destructress and Fist Puncher Van Dyke La Cebolla The Nightmarionette Tina (formerly) The Earworm Belle Crimson Haste Various other supervillains and antagonists Likes:Helping people Using punches on villains Playing with Bailey Her brother Kevin People Pops Oakey Dislikes:Cleaning the house Doing the dishes Peppermint Arguing with Kevin Danger Abuelita Gomez's rules Performing on stage (formerly) Being harassed Bailey not talking to her

Physical appearance Gretel has light skin, large blue eyes, and blonde hair with bangs. Her normal attire consists of a teal shirt with a collar, an orange skirt held together by a yellow belt, white socks, blue shoes with light blue Velcro straps, and an orange headband to hold her hair back.

Her superhero clothes are all in various shades of purple. She has a dress that looks like a tank top with a large, white "G" on the front, and a skirt held together by a belt, and a cape and eye mask about the same shade as the skirt. In her superhero form, her headband is blue instead of orange.

Occasionally, Gretel wears a dark blue carrier for Hamster alongside her casual outfit. It has a lot in common with a baby carrier, leaving holes for Hamster's limbs to fit through.

Personality Gretel is pretty energetic, excitable and confident. However, her tendencies to act heads-on frequently gets herself into big troubles and mishaps. Her impulsiveness and carefree nature are often responsible for the collateral damages she makes, and are the very reason why Kevin is needed to guide her. While she is happy when her powers are back, she is still in doubts due to the revelation of the alien's scheme which is giving bad guys powers to do evil, but with her's and Hamster are tasked doing good, which confused her, especially remarking "None of this makes sense." However, she shows sympathy when was always late with her father, as she regrets, and what worst is that Gretel can be terribly sorry for Kevin being openly rejected for powers from the aliens, in Too Many Crooks Gretel acknowledges that she cannot save the day alone, as she realized she needs help for using a plan as explained within the news.

Super-strength - Gretel is able to throw hard punches and bend steel. The intro theme also states that she and Hamster are "stronger than metal." "Superhero Sibling Rivalry" also reveals that Hamster and Gretel are able to lift 157 tons (in weight) between them, but not 200 tons. Despite her immense strength, Gretel is not the strongest entity out there, and villains such as Arthouse and Itsy Bitsy have bound Gretel with materials that are 2% stronger than her to prevent her from escaping (this includes durable film and special spider silk). Instant costume change - Hamster and Gretel are both able to change from their current outfit to their superhero outfit and vice versa. Word materialization - When calling out an attack, the name of said attack will appear in colorful letters, which she and other characters can apparently interact with before they dematerialize. This usually happens when she calls out her signature "___ PUNCH" phrasal template, but also extends to other phrases, including but not limited to other attack names (like "Super Slap"), mathematical equations, or phrases like "My Best Friend Bailey's Birthday." Heat vision - Gretel can use her eyes to shoot beams of heat, first shown in "Recipe for Disaster." Using a condenser coil from a refrigerator, she can convert the heat from her heat vision into chilling cold, as shown in "Dr. Eelgood." Indestructibility - Gretel gained a much sturdier body structure that allows her to take hits from strong or heavy objects without getting wounds. This is exemplified in "Sleepover with the Enemy", in which Gretel gets crushed between a moving truck and a tunnel wall, and the only thing on her person that took damage was a ketchup packet. These superpowers are cancelled out by a mysterious, blue glowing rock of currently unknown properties, as revealed in "U.F. UH-OH! Part II." Whenever Gretel is close or nearby this odd rock, she cannot use her superpowers and is reverted to her regular self until she's far away enough; Gretel does keep her superhero costume, however. This glowing rock is also exploited by Professor Exclamation in "Exclamation Strikes Back"; using a machine of his, he's able to drain Hamster and Gretel's superpowers and store it in the rock, being able to use it as a power source. This also drains the color in Gretel's superhero uniform.

Weaknesses Even with superpowers, Gretel is still vulnerable to a variety of circumstances.

Uncontrolled workout routine - She is not immune to sore muscles and fatigue when working out together with Hamster too recklessly, despite her indestructibility. Japanese sea urchins - She is also vulnerable to giant Japanese sea urchins as she tried to punch them, only to hurt her hand to their spikes. Heat vision doesn't work on them either, due to their spike dissipating the heat.

Kevin

Kevin Grant-Gomez is one of the protagonists of the series Hamster & Gretel. He is the older brother of Gretel, and the eldest son of Dave and Carolina. He and his cousin Fred are among the only people that know about Gretel and her pet Hamster's superpowers, and he's been making sure that people cannot know about Hamster and Gretel's secret identities.

While Kevin was there when Hamster and Gretel were given superpowers by aliens, he was skipped over and did not receive superpowers at all. Because of this, he feels a bit jealous and inferior of his little sister and is desperate to know why exactly the aliens decides to not give him superpowers. Despite this, he's still supportive of Hamster and Gretel, and while unrecognized by the populace, is a crucial member of the team that uses his quick thinking when Hamster and Gretel are in a pinch.

Full name:Kevin Grant-Gomez Other names:Minivan Kid Armor-Suit Guy KGG Age:16 Gender:Male Species:Human Home:Tri-State Area Professional information Occupation:Eastside High School student Personal information Relatives:Gretel Grant-Gomez (younger sister) Fred Grant (paternal cousin) Dave Grant (father) Carolina Grant-Gomez (mother) Melissa Gomez (maternal aunt) Stacy Grant (paternal aunt) Papá (long lost paternal great grandfather) Abuelita Gomez (maternal grandmother) Unnamed paternal grandfather Pets:Churro (dog) Friends and allies:Hiromi Tanaka (crush) Anthony (friend) Enemies:Professor Exclamation Micromanager Likes:Driving His family Hiromi Tanaka Dancing Helping his little sister and Hamster on missions Being the superhero adjacent Taking care of his little sister Dislikes:Being called Minivan Kid (formerly) Not having superpowers Conveyor Belts Blueberries Abuelita Gomez's rules Gretel in trouble Cleaning the house Arguing with Gretel The Alien's Mysterious motives Not having a spot to park the minivan Being called a kid Having a sprained ankle

Kevin is a tall boy with light skin and dark brown hair in an angular style. He usually wears an orange jacket with a collar over a brown shirt. He also wears green pants and brown and white shoes.

Personality Being Gretel's older brother, Kevin is naturally overprotective of her, but has her best interests in his heart. Compared to the more perky but impulsive Gretel, Kevin normally devises or improvises a plan rather than bashing heads-on. As he is the only person in the trio without superpowers, he naturally feels inferior and overshadowed by Gretel sometimes, and wishes that he could contribute and get acknowledged more significantly.

Kevin can be a worrywart and overthinker at times, in contrast to Gretel's more carefree and downplaying attitude. When it comes to his crush Hiromi, he can be shy and awkward around her, worrying if she feels the same way or sees him as just a friend. Kevin's worries about certain situations tend to be found and justified, such as when he and Gretel discover that the aliens that gave her and Hamster superpowers did the same to supervillains, causing both of them to be concerned about the aliens' true intentions.

Skills and abilities Kevin does not have superpowers like his little sister does, so most of his abilities aren't as extraordinary, which includes being able to drive the minivan after receiving his driver's license, and, according to his Theme Song Takeover, has an average ability to plan. Despite this, Kevin is a quick thinker with an above average intellect (enough to earn a B-minus during a psychology project at school), so when Gretel's brawn doesn't work, Kevin lays out a plan for her to follow; according to Hamster in "Shush Hour", a good amount of villainy has been thwarted thanks to Kevin's ideas. With improvised weapons and tactics, Kevin can also stand toe to toe with some of the supervillains himself, such as Itsy Bitsy and the Librarian, he even defeated Professor Exclamation's mech suit by making a makeshift propulsion rocket with balloon gas, and a swing in a park ,to destroy its meteorite with a single key made of "Unbendium."

His driving skills is shown to be at a extremely professional level, as he can perform drifts, able to outrun Professor Exclamation's mech suit.

Kevin displays free running skills, acrobatics, and agility that are above normal to human circumstances. These include, but aren't limited to; catching up to Rodney Thunderpants (a villain with lightning powers) towards the pre-electrical train in the yard on the side of the city and on the train, running from a rolling ball cage with Hamster running inside of it, dodging a fire extinguisher and pie flown towards him, attempting to save Gretel through the rooftops when she is captured by Fist Puncher and The Destructress using a U.F.O., dodging sonic blasts from the Shushinator as used by the Librarian, and continuously evading heat-seeking drill rocket missiles from Professor Exclamation. He is also good at using Pinky, his pink unicorn-themed knee scooter while his leg was cast in an injury boot in "No Sprain, No Gain": he was able to dodge Itsy Bitsy's webbing/attacks, and able to do stunts both in skate parks and around dangerous obstacles.

After following a video tutorial by Darren Dark, Kevin also knows the hottest disco moves from 1973, which, alongside Hiromi (who has followed the same video tutorial), Kevin performs with ease. He seems to have skills for art like making makeup, and able to memorize as he use cut out paints to restored Hiromi's mural with the help of the Break-Stuff Club. He is also capable of building machines similar to Anthony, albeit with instructions to follow, despite using gum instead of hex bolts. Kevin is also shown to be a skilled pool player.

In "Cutie and the Beast," Kevin has desired to be a superhero himself, resulting into his own "superhero" alter ego, named Armor Suit Guy. As the name implies, Kevin dons an iron armor suit, commissioned to a person named Nate. While the suit is very heavy, it has a grappling hook contained in its abdomen, which Kevin often uses to his advantages (mainly to get around). However, Kevin does manage to save the day in both this episode, and the suit's second appearance in "U.F. UH-OH! Part II," although without the need of the armor suit. It is currently unknown if the suit will appear in any future episodes.

Fred

Winifred "Fred" Grant (sometimes spelled Winnifred Grant[4]) is a supporting character in Hamster & Gretel. Fred is the paternal cousin of Gretel and Kevin, and often hangs out with Kevin as a friend. She is the first person to learn Hamster and Gretel's secret identities as superheroes (besides Kevin), and the only person Kevin could entrust this information with due to having a "disdain for human society." (Hamster and Gretel’s secret identities are revealed to other people throughout the series, but never deliberately like Fred)

Fred serves as backup member of the team; while she typically doesn't personally join Hamster, Gretel and Kevin on the crimefighting, she does however, notify them when a supervillain shows up, and keeps communications with Kevin in case something is needed.

She seems to be a similar age as Kevin, as she attends high school just like him, and is shown to be in some of the same classes as him.

Full name:Winifred Grant Age:Unknown (presumably around Kevin's age) Gender:Female Species:Human Home:Tri-State Area Professional information Occupation:Eastside High School student Personal information Relatives:Unnamed father Stacy Grant (mother) Gretel Grant-Gomez (maternal cousin) Kevin Grant-Gomez (maternal cousin) Carolina Grant-Gomez (maternal aunt) Dave Grant (maternal uncle) Unnamed maternal grandfather Papá (long lost maternal great grandfather) Friends and allies:Naya (acquaintance) Hiromi Tanaka (friend)

Fred is about the same height as Kevin. She has a pale skin complexion, dark brown hair that covers one of her eyes, and pink lips. She often wears a reddish brown coat with a ruddy stripe, over a purple vest and a white t-shirt. Additionally, she wears black, tight-fitting pants and red and white sneakers. One notable part of her outfit is her pink-tinted glasses. Personality Fred is normally sarcastic with a dry sense of humor, often speaking in a deadpan voice while keeping a stoic frown on her face. Even from a young age, she's shown to have a disdain towards things as well as other people. Despite this, she has a good companionship with her two cousins, Gretel and Kevin, being there to help on their missions using her skills in technology.

Fred doesn't like being in the spotlight and prefers to be left alone. This is evidenced in "Saturday Homecoming Fever," which reveals she has become one of the most popular students at Eastside High School since the events of "Cheer Cheer Bang Bang" (in which she went undercover as a cheerleader to expose the crimes of Coach Haggerty), as Fred resents the attention she's getting from her fellow students.

Fred is an avid fan of Yuko Cheerleading Warrior Attack 7, an action-focused magical girl anime series that satirizes cheerleader culture. She's also uncharacteristically wild about professional wrestling, being a huge fan of Professional League of Wrestling. Fred also gets uncharacteristically giddy about impossible bottles, although she doesn't advertise this much.

Skills and abilities Fred is stated to be quite tech-savvy. In spite of her cynical and nerdy appearance, she is also quite athletic due to being a state gymnast a couple years prior to the events of the series: being able to perform many gymnastic moves, do a split, and stay physically impossibly long in the air while doing many somersaults. She is also possessed combat skills and proficiency in wrestling during her scuffle with The Imposter in "President Fred."

Hiromi

Hiromi Tanaka is a supporting character in Hamster & Gretel. She is a student at the high school Kevin and Fred attend to. Kevin has a crush on her and attempts to look cool in front of her without embarrassing himself. Even though it was unclear throughout most of the first season if she felt the same way about Kevin, she eventually accepted to go on a date with him. It's revealed in "Exclamation Strikes Back" that she did like Kevin, however, since she was stood up again due to circumstances out of Kevin's control and unbeknownst to her, she decides to break it off with him; it's currently unknown if her relationship with Kevin will be restored in the second season. She also has a side job at Comics! Etc, the comic bookstore that Kevin frequents in the Dream Mall.

Character information Full name:Hiromi Tanaka Other names:Romi Age:16 Gender:Female Species:Human Home:Tri-State Area Occupation:Eastside High School student Employee at Comics! Etc Eastside High school newspaper editor Relatives:Juni Tanaka (mother) Friends and allies:Fred Grant (friend) Kevin Grant-Gomez (friend) Anthony (acquaintance) Likes:Kevin

Hiromi has a medium skin complexion and cotton candy pink hair, done in two pigtails (bunches, specifically). She has black, slanted eyes, which she usually wears with mascara, wears pink lipstick and round, purple earrings. She usually wears a gray Duck Boyz T-shirt, bright yellow pants with a cyan belt, and dark teal shoes with high heels.

Personality Hiromi is a friendly, sociable and laidback teenager with an interest in comics, music, and movies. She enjoys assisting others and is quick to make friends, even being able to befriend the deadpan and sarcastic Fred. She also gets along well with Kevin and appeared to be unaware of his crush on her. Additionally, she is shown to have a goofy side, especially when she was at the movie theater with Kevin, Bailey, Hamster and Gretel to see Larry the Magic Boy.

Skills and abilities Hiromi knows how to pick a lock. She learned this skill from a girl named Juvie Davis, whose father is a locksmith.

Action News

Action News is the city's local news network and a recurring organization in Hamster & Gretel. Filmed at and for the WHOA TV Studio, Action News reports on various happenings around the city, courtesy of field reporter Veronica Hill, and is often a source of important notifications for Hamster, Gretel, and Kevin whenever a supervillain strikes. Veronica's field reports for Action News have been a recurring element to Hamster & Gretel due to this, and are known for Veronica's rather snarky nature.

Interviews and talk shows are also fields that Action News covers, most notably shown in episodes such as "For Whom the Belle Trolls" and "Over the Hill".

Veronica Hill is a supporting character in Hamster & Gretel. She's a field news reporter working for Action News, a local news station in town.

Contents Physical appearance Veronica has brown hair and has brown eyes. She wears lipstick, a white shirt with a dark blue coat and dark blue skirt.

Click here to view a full list of outfits and designs for Veronica Hill throughout the series.

Personality Veronica is a blunt and snarky news reporter who often weaves her personal issues into the current stories.

Bailey Carter

Bailey Carter is a major supporting character in Hamster & Gretel. She is Gretel's best friend, and quite likely the biggest fan of the superhero Gretel. Because of this, she's quick to identify many similarities between the two Gretels, such as both of them having a hamster named Hamster. Despite this, she was cluelessly unaware that her best friend and her idol are one and the same, something which Gretel and her brother Kevin intended to keep it that way for as long as possible, from up until "My Invisible Friend" and "The Bitter Sitter".

Character information Full name: Bailey Carter[1] Age: Unknown (presumably around Gretel's age) Gender: Female Species: Human Home: Tri-State Area Professional information Occupation: Eastside Elementary School student Personal information Relatives: Roman Carter (father) Michelle Carter (mother) Friends and allies: Gretel Grant-Gomez (best friend) Tina Grobla Nordle Exclamation Enemies: Nordle (formerly) Likes: Playing with Gretel Oakey People pops Being nice Flatfish Helping Kevin and Gretel on missions Dislikes: Calzones Gretel in danger Fake videos of Hamster and Gretel

Physical appearance Bailey is a young girl with a dark skin complexion, dark brown hair held up in two pigtails, and black eyes, she has a high-pitched voice. She wears a yellow long sleeve sweater with green shorts and yellow shoes. She also wears dark-red glasses.

Personality:Bailey is an excitable, kindhearted and optimistic girl who is an avid and loyal fan of the superhero Gretel, having set up a fan club for her and being it’s president. A flaw of hers is that she can be clueless, as shown as she wasn’t fully aware of her best friend Gretel’s secret identity. This can also result in others, such as Tina, taking her kindness by advantage. When someone betrays her trust, she can be easily upset but quick to forgive.

Nordle Exclamation

Nordle Exclamation[1] is a recurring character in Hamster & Gretel. He is the gifted son of Professor Exclamation.

Physical appearance:Nordle has brown hair and has the same height as Gretel Grant-Gomez. He wears glasses, a black suit, a green sweater vest with a tie, light green shorts, white socks, and brown shoes.

Professor Exclamation

Professor Exclamation, also referred to as Jack Ampersand, is a recurring villain in Hamster & Gretel. He appears to be an inventor, who decided to become a supervillain after losing his elbows in an industrial accident (which may explain his short arms), deciding that if he couldn't bend his arms, he would bend everyone else to his will. Professor Exclamation is the very first villain that Hamster, Gretel, and Kevin have faced in the series, debuting in the episode "Empower Failure", the series' first episode. He also has a son named Nordle, a prodigy with altered DNA, whom he wishes to grow up becoming an evil genius like himself.

Character information Full name: Professor Jack Ampersand-Exclamation Other names: Professor Ex[1] Juggling Jack / Jugglin' Jack[2] Gender: Male Species: Human Home: Tri-State Area Professional information Occupation: Supervillain Personal information Relatives: Nordle Exclamation (son) Unnamed wife[3] Bob (brother)[4] Darren (nephew)[4] Minions: Tobor The Destructress and Fist Puncher (temporarily) Enemies: Gretel Grant-Gomez Hamster Kevin Grant-Gomez Dislikes: Having no elbows Nordle choosing to not be evil

Dave Grant

David Grant, also referred to as simply Dave Grant, or Dave Grant-Gomez, is a supporting character in Hamster & Gretel. He is the father of Gretel and Kevin. He and his wife Carolina are completely unaware of their daughter and her pet hamster's superpowers.

Physical appearance Dave wears glasses, has dark blond hair, and a beard. He resembles a younger Dan Povenmire. He also wears a green buttoned shirt with blue pants and dark colored shoes.

Character information Full name: David Grant Other names: Dave (frequently) Gender: Male Species: Human Home: Tri-State Area Professional information Occupation: Apartment complex manager

Personal information Relatives: Gretel Grant-Gomez (daughter) Kevin Grant-Gomez (son) Unnamed father Stacy Grant (older sister) Papá (long lost grandfather)[2] Fred Grant (niece) Carolina Grant-Gomez (wife) Abuelita Gomez (mother-in-law) Melissa Gomez (sister-in-law) Pets: Churro (dog) Friends and allies: Roman Carter Michelle Carter Jack Ampersand (former high school friend)

Carolina

Carolina Grant-Gomez (or Carolina Gomez before marriage) is a supporting character in Hamster & Gretel. She is the mother of Kevin and Gretel, and the wife of Dave. She is from Venezuela.

Contents Physical appearance Carolina has long brown hair, dark brown eyes and tan skin. She wears a red V-neck shirt, blue pants and dark blue sandals.

She is an eccentric yet wise mother. She can be very strict when it comes to cleaning to the point were she makes whoever says the words "I'm bored" clean the house let it be her children or her husband and grounded Gretel for the weekend for not doing the dishes. This is a trait she learned from her own mother, Abuelita. Despite having this trait, it is shown that she's caring towards others, such as her family for example.

Carolina doesn't like it when people correct her English. This incorrect use of English can range from using different specific words used in her idioms (e.g. saying "I'm putting my foot in", instead of "I'm putting my foot down", in "Grounded"), to insisting translating Spanish-to-English in names (e.g. calling Las Vegas "The Vegas", as "las" is plural Spanish for "the", in "U.F. UH-OH! Part I").
