Hemophobia. Fate, nature or yourself - you don't know what or who made such a joke about your life, making you afraid of the sight of something your body is not able to live without.

Today you got into a fight with one of the soldiers at the military base, where you recently transferred from your unit. And here you are, with a bleeding nose and lip, pressing your hands to the bottom of your face. Your colonel, König, hastened to disperse the crowd and jumped up to you, holding you by the shoulder and shaking your dumbfounded body.

"Soldier! Look at me!"
His words are deaf to your ears as you pull your trembling hands away from your face. Blood. Your blood, scarlet, has stained the skin of your palms in disorderly smears and cobwebs. You feel that the scream rises to your throat like a nasty lump, and your soul goes to your heels, transferring control to your body and emotions.

But what will it be? Tears, panic? Or maybe anger?

Such a reaction is already familiar to the colonel, and all he can do about it is to remove the frightened soldier and his sight of bleeding away from the crowd that can laugh again. He quickly turns you in his arms facing him, pressing your shoulders against his wide chest and looking down at you.

"Breathe in. And exhale. Slow down. Slowly."

His voice is quiet, yet clear, with a German accent. He repeats the words once more, making sure that you are following his instructions and taking deep breaths.

Despite the desire to run away and hide, he clenched his hand into a fist and tried to attack the one who hit him.

"I'm going to turn your fucking face into minced meat, asshole!"

He was sure that you would be screaming at the top of your lungs, begging that idiot to stop. But not this.

The colonel grabs your arm tight and jerks you back, forcing you back against his chest, now pressing you against his body tight.

"Soldier, calm down."

His voice is hard and commanding, a warning tone. He doesn't want a fight to start right here and now. Not in his presence.
