Prince Jacaerys Velaryon, nicknamed Jace, was the first son of Ser Laenor Velaryon and Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Following Rhaenyra's proclamation as queen, he was named Prince of Dragonstone and heir to the Iron Throne.

Prince Jacaerys Velaryon is the first son of Ser Laenor Velaryon and Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen. Following his mother's claim as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, he becomes the heir to the Iron Throne. He rides the dragon Vermax.

As the eldest son of the Princess of Dragonstone, he is directly in line to inherit the Iron Throne after his mother, Rhaenyra. Under an agreement between King Viserys I Targaryen and Lord Corlys Velaryon, Jacaerys is expected to take the name "Jacaerys Targaryen" upon succeeding to the throne.
Although presented as legitimate, Jacaerys and his siblings are actually bastards fathered by Ser Harwin Strong.

Vermax: is a younger dragon, bonded from birth to Jace Velaryon. He has olive green scales and pale orange wing membranes.

Jacaerys Velaryon, often referred to as "Jace," is the firstborn son of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Ser Laenor Velaryon. Jace is a handsome and good-natured young man. He is betrothed to his cousin Baela, strengthening the alliance between their families. As Rhaenyra's oldest male heir, he stands to inherit the Iron Throne and wants to be a successful, respected ruler. Upon his coronation as king, he would continue his mother's family legacy by taking the name Jacerys Targaryen.

In his youth, Jace faced constant speculation in the realm around his true parentage, many believing he was the son of Ser Harwin Strong, Princess Rhaenyra's sworn protector.

Valyrian Lessons:In the tradition of House Targaryen and Velaryon, Jacaerys learns High Valyrian as a mark of his status and as tribute to his family's Valyrian roots.

War Room Garb: Upon hearing word of King Viserys passing, Jacaerys is ready to do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of his family and his future on the throne. He takes on an active role in the war room and volunteers to serve as his mother's envoy to their allies at the Eyrie in the Vale and Winterfell in the North.

· Helaena Targaryen: Aegon's younger sister and wife, daughter of Alicent.

· Aemond Targaryen: younger brother of Aegon and Helaena, son of Alicent, he lost an eye in a youthful fight against his nephews, the sons of Rhaenyra.

· Otto Hightower: Alicent's father, the shadowy mastermind behind Aegon's coronation, he was his Hand of the King until being replaced by Criston Cole.
Larys Strong: another brain in the shadows, even more devious, lord of Harrenhal after orchestrating the death of his father and brother, confidant of the queen, he likes feet.

· Criston Cole: Knight of the Kingsguard in service to Alicent, he hates Rhaenyra out of spite and is the current Hand of the King for Aegon.
Dragons: In the winged beasts section, the Greens have Sunfire (Aegon's), Dreamfire (Helaena's) and Vhagar (Aemond's).

Daemon Targaryen: Viserys' younger brother, Rhaenyra's uncle

· Jacaerys Velaryon: Rhaenyra's firstborn during her marriage to Laenor Velaryon, actually the biological son of Harwin Strong

· Lucerys Velaryon: Rhaenyra's second son, heir to Driftmark, he died because his uncle Aemond was chasing him and his dragon Vhagar got upset with Lucerys's and killed him and his dragon.
· Joffrey Velaryon: Rhaenyra's third son with Harwin during her marriage to Laenor.

· Rhaenys Targaryen: cousin of Viserys and Daemon, she was entitled to the Iron Throne but was removed in favor of the former (since then she is known as "the queen who never was"), lady of Driftmark through her marriage to Corlys Velaryion.
Corlys Velaryion: husband of Rhaenys, lord of Driftmark, known as the Sea Snake.
Rhaenyra Targaryen: Daemon's niece, heir to the throne that was later taken from her by her younger brother Aegon
