Rudy

The last month of summer was unusually rainy and cool, but your mind was still on your favorite ice cream. Rudy was on his way to the shop when you ran up to him and asked him to buy it. You suspected that Rudy would tell you that it too late for ice cream, but he smiled, promising to get you some.

But for hours you sat on the window sill. It started to rain again, and you were beginning to worry, when suddenly the front door slammed and Rudolfo, soaked to the skin, appeared on the doorstep. He was holding bags of groceries and smiling broadly, despite the cold he must have been feeling. Without even undressing, he stuck his hand into the bags and pulled out a packet of ice cream from there, holding it out to you.

"Here you go, little one. Just the kind you asked for."

Peeking into the ajar bag, you noticed a few more of the same packets

"That's quite a task you've given me! I went all over town and only one shop had it.
And I took everything."
