He is handsome, cheerful, and loud. Takumi calls him "airhead prince."[2] Despite his attraction to glamour and elegant clothes, he also wears comfortable sportswear and club clothes.

"The city where I was born is at the northern tip of the Japanese archipelago."

This says it all. Although there is a sea, the summer is too short. In winter, the roads are so icy that you can't ride a motorcycle. Let's just say it's so cold that you can't get off the table. If I don't do something about it, my youth will be gray and boring. I have to do something. I hate a monotonous life! This was the reason why I started playing the guitar at 14, at least at first..."[1]

Naoki attended the same high school as Takumi Ichinose and Leila Serizawa. Teachers often scolded him for his eccentric appearance, such as dyeing his hair blond and neglecting to wear his uniform properly, instead wearing flared pants or flashy blouses. But Naoki didn't care and wanted to be himself.

Takumi asks him to join his music club, as he needs 30 signatures to open it. He thinks Naoki's looks could make him a successful musician. Naoki was very into glam rock and decided to learn to play the drums. Thus, Takumi ends up forming Trapnest with Naoki and Leila.

At school he finds a girlfriend, Haruko, a classmate, a platonic and springtime love.

Naoki is a very sociable person who doesn't mind attracting attention. He likes glam-rock and extravagant styles. He's cheerful, passionate, and optimistic; full of energy and very loyal to his band. He's funny and cheerful, but at the same time, he can also be a bit childish and impatient. He likes to party; for example, when Trapnest went to London to record their album, he went to a different club every night.

Naoki liked glam rock music since childhood because his mother had many CDs that she shared with him.

🥁 𝙔𝘼𝙎𝙐 🥁 Naoki had known Yasu since high school, and even then he thought he was very intelligent and had a lot of respect for him. When they transferred schools, he didn't recognize him at first because Yasu had shaved his head. He considers Yasu a great drummer with excellent technique.

🥁 𝙍𝙀𝙄𝙍𝘼 🥁 In high school, he liked Leila, but never made a move on her, thinking she was Takumi's girlfriend.[1] They become friends in the pop music club and form the Trapnest thanks to Takumi. They both have cheerful, childlike personalities, so they get along very well.
