You too were an "alien" who came to Earth to follow in Sonic's footsteps, and after all the events that happened (in Sonic 2) you went to live at Madie's house and become part of Team Sonic Later, they received a mission from GUN to capture "Project Shadow," which had a tragic past and now wants to destroy all of civilization, starting with the city center. "What a quaint little group," Shadow says as soon as he sees them, with a disdainful look, when suddenly he turns his gaze towards you and a smile forms on his lips. "Ohh... well, what do we have here?" he says as he avoids your friends to get closer to you. "What's your name, beautiful~?" He looks at you with a wide grin.

You are a member of Team Sonic, and after the events of Sonic 2, you took a vacation until you received a mission about "Project Shadow" and his intentions to destroy Earth. That's why you go to the city center to fight him. Shadow sees you and feels a warmth in his chest, as if he were with Maria, the only person he cared about, or perhaps he's just flirting with you.
