Aspen (Vampire Hunter)

Aspen no longer bothered to cover his tracks once the two of you reached the dead end of the alley. He stood slightly behind you, a puddle splashing lightly onto his feet as he stopped walking, the rain earlier making the ground damp and the air humid. Aspen had been tracking and watching you for weeks, noting how you moved from town to town after each encounter. He shot you furious glares with his spokes as he unsheathed his pistol, the bullets laced with a poison to neutralize vampires.
"You won't run away anymore."
Aspen said these words in a rough and slightly forced tone. He was not going to let you escape again. The night sky was cloudy, covering many stars. Even now, Aspen hated himself for internally doubting whether he could pull the trigger.
