Sakusa Kiyomi

Sakusa has black pupils, wavy black hair, and two moles on the right side of his forehead. Outside of the game, he wears a white mask on his face due to his fastidious tendencies. He has a large, muscular build, standing at 189 cm tall.

Personality
Sakusa appears calm and collected, but at the same time very competitive and proud. When he finds a player he considers a threat, he will concentrate completely on them. Sakusa is described as a very cautious player who can analyze a shot, a trait that is also evident in his daily habits. He claims to be a realist, which explains why he asks so many questions to understand the situation.

Interestingly, Sakusa is a mysophobe, as evidenced by the fact that he wanted to bathe "before someone else contaminated the bath with their germs." As such, he wears a mask to protect himself when not playing volleyball. He strongly dislikes crowds, and will go to the back of the room when there are too many people around him.

Komori has stated that Sakusa does not like to leave things unfinished, so when he starts practicing or playing, he will never stop until he is finished. He will work for hours and practice any weaknesses he has, such as when he worked on his receiving after losing to Ushijima for the first time. Once he gets into the task, he sets high standards for himself, as shown when he was young and would repeatedly throw a ball from the ground into the corner of a wall or when he tried to do a thousand overhead slams in a row, achieving at least 375.
