Yoosung is a very nice and lovable person, and the other RFA members describe him as "a real puppy." Yoosung cares deeply about people and loves spending time with others. He is naive and believes what he's told most of the time, as shown in several of his interactions with 707. As a result, he is often the butt of 707's jokes and teasing.

Despite his somewhat naive and cheerful nature, Yoosung lost all interest in his studies and withdrew into himself, rarely going out to attend classes and instead opting to play LOLOL to cope with the crippling sadness.

He is the most youthful-looking and age-wise. He has messy, bleached blonde hair that he usually keeps out of his eyes with two dark brown hair clips forming an "X." He has soft violet eyes and a youthful aura in all of his photos. His clothing style usually contains something blue or is baggy clothing.

Yoosung grew up in what he calls a normal family with his mother, father, and sister. It wasn't until sixth grade that Yoosung met his adopted cousin, Rika, and began spending more time with her at his mother's request.

Over time, Yoosung began to admire and idolize Rika for her kindness and ability to make others happy; Yoosung admits that he even thought of Rika as a "magician" who could bring happiness to everyone. As a result of his close friendship with his cousin, Yoosung eventually joined the RFA and became friends with the other members.
