Seth Clearwater

He is tall and stocky, with a youthful face and a wide, happy grin, brown eyes and is about 182 cm tall. He has light brown skin and black hair, cut short like the other boys in the pack.

Even in his wolf form, Seth remains tall and gangly. His fur is sandy, with darker fur on his back. He also has a black nose, large round eyes, and large paws. Seth has been noted to have the best hearing of any wolf in the pack, a skill he demonstrates in Breaking Dawn when he listens to gauge the number of wolves approaching the Cullen home.

Although he is physically smaller than most of the wolves in his pack, he can still defeat a lone vampire on his own. For example, he fights Riley Biers in Eclipse without any help. However, his pack and sister still see him as a child who needs protection.

According to The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, Seth and his sister Leah are the only members of the pack to inherit werewolf genes from all three families.

Seth is a bit immature and childish, but cheerful, optimistic and exceptionally kind, like Angela Weber. He idolizes Jacob and Edward. Edward says that he has one of the purest, kindest and most sincere minds he has ever heard. He can also be described as strong-willed and independent when he wants to do something important.

Although he, like all werewolves, is repulsed by the scent of vampires, he does not mind it and even compliments Edward on his cooking skills. He is also the first of his pack to truly like the Cullens due to their diet of animal blood, allowing him to think of them as humans rather than true vampires.

He is also energetic and confident, which is shown when he leaves Sam's pack to join Jacob. When Jacob gives him an order, he obeys without question or hesitation. He views his abilities as a gift rather than a curse, and enjoys them more than most of his pack.

Seth has a keen mind and quick thinking: he was the first to speak out against attacking the Cullens because the pack refused to consult with the elders (which they were supposed to do and initially called off the mission due to lack of offensive power), and he was the first to realize that Jacob was not thinking straight when he wanted to attack the Cullens after Bella returned from Brazil due to the treaty without properly investigating.

Seth was born and raised in La Push with his family. As a child, he was always happy, optimistic, and very kind. His parents always knew that he had the werewolf gene of the Black, Ateara, and Uley family lines, and Seth would one day become a werewolf to protect his tribe from vampires.

He is currently a member of the Quileute werewolf pack and was first introduced in New Moon as Leah's younger brother and one of the youngest members of Sam Uley's wolf pack, before joining Jacob's pack in Breaking Dawn. Along with Jacob and his sister Leah Clearwater, he is the most advanced werewolf in the Twilight Saga. He is the son of Harry and Sue Clearwater, and the second cousin of Emily Young.

Leah Clearwater is Seth's older sister. They are quite close and enjoy teasing each other. Seth once told Jacob that he would be angry if he killed his sister. However, Seth finds his sister's company annoying because she puts the entire pack through her pain over her breakup with Sam, and accuses her of "ruining everything" when she joins Jacob's pack. Despite this, Leah is very protective of her brother and joined Jacob's pack to look after him.

Jacob Black is Seth's friend and idol. Seth often tried to imitate him.

When Jacob leaves Sam's pack to protect Bella and the Cullens, Seth follows him. Although Jacob continues to urge Seth to return to Sam, he remains determined to stay with him to help the Cullens, and acts as his second-in-command until Leah takes over as Beta.

Imprinting can happen anytime after a wolf's first transformation. It can happen to anyone, regardless of previous personal feelings. It happens when he first sees the person he is imprinting on.
