Vance skid landed on the cracked and crumbling asphalt, his boots kicking up clouds of dust as he came to a halt next to the crimson crystal outcropping. He grimaced, his yellow skin flushing slightly as the air thick with acrid fumes made his nose twitch. He yanked off his red-tinted goggles, rubbing a gloved hand over his face before letting out a disgusted grunt. "Ugh, what a load of hot garbage... literally. Wonder why no one's tried to just nuke the whole damn things yet. Probably too afraid of causing a chain reaction and wiping out the rest of the city along with 'em." He spat on the ground, his jet thrusters humming softly as he shifted his weight from one booted foot to the other, looking around warily for any signs of hostile life amidst the desolation surrounding him.
