Before the creation of Earth, Lucifer was an angel with fantastical ideas for all of creation, but was seen as a troublemaker by the elders of Heaven, as they felt his way of thinking was dangerous to the order of their world. Lucifer watched as the angels began to expand the universe in their own way, and the creation of the first humans, Adam and Lilith. Both were on equal footing before the world, but despite this Adam demanded control, and Lilith refused to bend to his will. Together they wished to share the magic of free will with humanity, offering the fruit of knowledge to Adam's second wife, Eve, who accepted. With this single act of disobedience, evil made its way to Earth, and with it came a new realm of darkness and sin (Hell) and the order that Heaven had worked to maintain was shattered. As punishment for his reckless act, the elders of Heaven cast Lucifer and his love into the dark abyss of his own making, never allowing him to see the goodness that came from humanity, only the cruelty and malice he had unleashed with his actions. Ashamed, Lucifer lost his will to dream.[1]

Now a fallen angel, Lucifer became the ruler of all of Hell based on his angelic power,[2] ruling over all the Demons residing there. At an unknown point, Lucifer became part of an order of powerful Demons called the Seven Deadly Sins, with each member embodying a sin, his being Pride.

At some point, the population of Hell grew so large and became so powerful that Sera, the supreme seraph of Heaven, feared a rebellion, and to prevent this Adam proposed an annual extermination of demons. Lucifer accepted that proposal as long as the victims were only sinners, and that the rest of the demons native to Hell were safe; Adam accepted the restriction.

At some point, he married Lilith and with her had a daughter named Charlie Morningstar, who became princess of Hell. At another point, Lilith abandoned Lucifer for unknown reasons, leaving Lucifer to fall into a deep depression, and she isolated herself from his kingdom and his daughter as a way to cope. The lonely Lucifer spent his time at his house making rubber ducks [3].

At an unknown time, Lucifer founded a successful theme park called Lu Lu World that turned out to be quite popular among the inhabitants of Hell. One of the Deadly Sins, Mammon, created a copy of the theme park of him called Loo Loo Land, claiming to be friends with Lucifer.

Alastor was born an only child around the turn of the 20th century. When he was alive, he lived a double life as a radio host and serial killer in New Orleans, Louisiana,[2][3] and witnessed the stock market crash of 1929.

He was close friends with Mimzy and was a regular at the jazz club where she worked, where he would get very drunk and dance with her.[4]

Eventually, Alastor died in 1933,[5] when he was between 30 and 40 years old, from an incident involving dogs[6] and ended up in Hell. Once he arrived in Hell, Alastor gained raw power that had never before been seen in a human soul and he used this to become an Overlord, trampling over some of the powerful demons that had been in charge of the realm for centuries. He also broadcast this massacre on the radio for all to hear and witness his power, thus earning himself the nickname "Radio Demon".

As a result, many began to fear the unpredictable strength he possessed and described him as a mysterious person who caused chaos despite his smile. He became famous enough that the Princess of Hell, Charlie, recognized him despite the fact that he had never formally introduced himself.

At some point he met Mimzy, whom he helped whenever she got into trouble. At another point, he also befriended another Overlord; Rosie, who became one of his closest friends. He became friendly with most of Cannibal Quarter, Rosie's main domain, except for Susan, whose rude and annoying nature annoyed Alastor.[7]

At an unknown point in time, Husk, who was an Overlord at the time, lost the souls he possessed in a bet and made a deal for ownership of their souls with Alastor.[8] Alastor began treating Husk like a pet and would summon him whenever he wanted him to do something for him, much to Husk's chagrin. Lucifer can play many types of instruments very well, including the violin, which he plays "phenomenally well." In "Dad Beat Dad", Lucifer is shown to be left-handed as he plays the violin with his left hand and holds his cane with his right hand. In the Helluva Boss episode "Loo Loo Land", it is stated that Lucifer owns a theme park called Lu Lu World. In his mansion, along with his numerous photographs of Charlie and Lilith, he has a photo of himself hugging what appears to be a younger Frederick von Eldritch. He is the only member of the Seven Deadly Sins who was confirmed to be born in Heaven.

Vaggie is a slender humanoid with dull lavender-grey skin. Her hair is white and cut in a moth-eaten, uneven pattern, with lavender-grey streaks at the ends. She wears a large, dark reddish-pink bow with two long tails at the back of her neck, which reacts to her mood.

Vaggie's right eye has an ivory-white iris and a light pink sclera. Her left eye is missing, replaced by a dark reddish-pink X on a slate-grey patch that shines when she is angry or irritated.

She wears a dark pink blouse with a dark slate-grey Peter-Pan collar, scalloped trim on the sleeves and two buttons down the front. Her choker and skirt are the same colour.

Vaggie accessorizes with long, slate-grey fingerless gloves and thigh-high stockings, scalloped in white at the top and fingertips. Vaggie is a pragmatic and cautious young angel, who spends much of her time trying to support Charlie with his vision for the hotel, as well as guiding her away from as much trouble or humiliation as possible.

Although it is unclear whether Vaggie fully believes in Charlie's concept of redemption, she passionately defends it against more skeptical sinners.

Vaggie appears to be quite prudent in business, trying her best to carry out her designated role as hotel manager, even with an initial lack of resources and a very run-down property to operate on.

Loyal and kind to those she cares for, but short on patience and trust, Vaggie tends to be very reactive and often takes an immediate defensive stance (with an offense at the ready) when it comes to dealing with potential threats, whether to herself or Charlie.

Despite her discipline, she is also relatively easy to provoke from the point of irritation to a more reckless explosiveness, as others are quick to discover.
