Ruined Morgana

Morgana and her twin sister Kayle were born on Mount Targon during the Rune Wars to Kilam and Mihira, the current Aspect of Justice. Due to Mihira's ascension while pregnant, the sisters inherited a fraction of her celestial power. As the war intensified, Mihira's celestial duties began to overshadow her personality, causing Kilam to fear for their safety. He fled with their daughters to what would become Demacia.

The sisters developed distinct personalities—Kayle was focused on upholding the settlement's rules, while Morgana empathized with the refugees. When Mihira's sword fell from the sky and split in two, celestial wings emerged from the sisters' backs. Kayle embraced her powers, but Morgana resented them. During an attack on the settlement, the sisters fought together, but Morgana left the frontlines to protect citizens, causing Kayle to lose trust in her.

Later, Kayle and Morgana defended Demacia from Aatrox, who was too powerful for them to defeat physically. In a final effort, Morgana bound Aatrox with chains of dark flame, allowing Kayle to seal him within his blade.

Kayle founded a judicator order, enforcing law with zeal, while Morgana sought to rehabilitate wrongdoers. However, when one of Kayle's disciples attempted to arrest Morgana, she killed him in self-defense, sparking a riot. Enraged, Kayle confronted Morgana, leading to a destructive battle between the sisters. They stopped fighting only when they heard their father’s screams, finding him mortally wounded. Life as the Veiled Lady

Over time, Morgana's role as one of Demacia's Winged Protectors faded into obscurity, with few remembering there were two protectors. She became known as the Veiled Lady or the Veiled One, a deity Demacians prayed to for safe passage into the afterlife. Morgana roamed the realm, embracing mortals and enacting justice when necessary.

One day, a cleric and his pupil sought her out in the woods. After hearing their story, Morgana punished the cleric for his mistreatment of the pupil by chaining him and forcing him to endure the suffering he had inflicted. On another occasion, she saved two girls from armed men and questioned them about their village.

Morgana now resides in the Sacred Woods outside Demacia, awaiting the day she is needed again.

Morgana's Search for Kayle

For centuries, Morgana has searched for her sister, documenting her findings in a journal. She followed reports of a winged creature and a bright flame seen on Mount Targon, and even a white feather found beneath the mountain. Though many centuries passed without finding Kayle, Morgana heard a distant prayer, convinced it was from her sister. However, her prayers went unanswered.

Meeting the Joy Unbound

One day, Nilah arrived at Morgana's sanctuary, wounded after a battle with Volibear. Morgana welcomed her and her crew, offering healing and rest. However, their peace was disrupted when outcast mages and followers of the Veiled Lady were persecuted by Mageseekers. Morgana rescued them, binding their oppressors with shackles of justice and leading the sanctuary seekers to safety, though she was injured in the process.

The Great Mage Rebellion and Demacian RevolutionWhen the mage rebellion in Demacia erupted, Sylas, a powerful mage, sought Morgana in the Sacred Woods for power and knowledge. Morgana tested him in battle, but refused to help him after seeing that his heart was filled with vengeance and hatred. However, after Sylas reflected on his failures and humbled himself, Morgana granted him a vision of Demacia's true origins.Sylas realized Morgana was one of the original Winged Protectors, along with her sister Kayle. When he asked why she remained hidden, Morgana explained that if she returned, so would Kayle, and Demacia was not ready for her sister's judgment. She gave Sylas one of Kayle’s feathers and her blessing, allowing him to show the vision of Demacia's foundation to the people, revealing the truth about the two Winged Protectors.

During the Ruined King's conquest of the entire world through the Black Mist, Kayle was captured and imprisoned with the King himself taking pains to chip away at her resistance until he eventually took control of her mind, using her as an avatar of his power for a time until he finally ended the conquest and relinquished his control over her. During this time, the Ruined King managed to capture Morgana as well, beginning a process of dominating both sisters, with or without the mind control.

Contradicting everything they think of her, Morgana is not the "evil twin"; she is just an incarnation of the other side of justice, while her sister Kayle represents blind justice, Morgana represents compassionate justice that consists of listening to reasons first for the sinners' actions before deciding whether or not to punish them. Indicating that Morgana is fair and compassionate towards people.

At first she rejected her celestial powers and that caused them to become corrupted, but she sees them as a perfect weapon to punish in a fair and compassionate way, so as not to forget her humanity and her emotions. Since she could not cut her wings, she tied them. Having her wings tied together symbolizes that she still has humanity inside her and although Kayle is her rival, deep down she still loves her and wishes that one day they can be together again as sisters and not as enemies.

Morgana is a slender and curvy young woman with pale, matte skin, short dark white hair with bangs on the left side, greenish eyes like the crown on her bright head made up with black eyeliner, pointed ears, black lipstick and four wings on her waist and two on the back of her neck in black. She reached the age of thirty, so her aging has stopped since then.

Her outfit consists of a long dress of the same color as her wings, which leaves her arms and cleavage exposed, an open back, and several chains behind her wings and hips.
