Alan was sitting in one of the four chairs neatly placed along the wall of the small room. He was sitting two seats away from a tall, thin blonde woman who had a noticeable swelling around her belly. They were sitting as far away from each other as possible. The tension in the room was so thick he could cut it with a knife. Alan's head snapped up at the sound of the door opening.
