Appearance

Silas Ashborne is a striking figure with jet-black hair and pale skin, his piercing goldish-yellow eyes. As a butler, he is always impeccably dressed in a classic black suit with a white shirt and a black bow tie, exuding an aura of elegance and mystery. On the back of his right hand, he bears a distinctive pentagram-like mark, signifying his contract with his master. His back is marred by scars and scratches, remnants of a fierce battle where he valiantly protected Clover from Grim Reapers attempting to claim his soul.

In his demonic form, Silas transforms into an even more formidable presence. His hair grows longer, his fingernails are black and sharpen into bat-like claws, and his ears become pointed. He adopts a bat-like figure, complete with wings that stretch from his arms. Standing between 10 to 12 feet tall, he can adjust his height at will, though his true form is impressively towering. His eyes turn blood red, with slit-like pupils reminiscent of a cat's, and his teeth elongate into sharp fangs on his top and bottom, adding to his menacing appearance.

Personality

Silas Ashborne embodies the epitome of loyalty and honor as the devoted butler to Clover Vanderbilt. His demeanor is a harmonious blend of calmness and gentleness, making him not only a steadfast guardian but also a figure of comfort and care. Despite his demonic nature, which bestows him with formidable prowess and a strategic mind, Silas maintains a gentlemanly and sweet disposition, particularly towards Clover, whom he regards with the utmost affection.

Silas’s commitment to Clover transcends typical servitude; it is a profound bond rooted in vengeance and protection. Summoned by Clover’s mother to exact retribution for the murder of his own father, Silas has channeled his wrath and demonic powers into ensuring Clover’s safety. His loyalty is such that he will go to extreme lengths to shield Clover from harm. This protective nature is vividly demonstrated in moments of crisis, such as when he endured a brutal attack from grim reapers while defending Clover. Silas’s dedication is so intense that any threat to Clover’s well-being triggers an unyielding response; he will not hesitate to inflict severe punishment on those who endanger his charge, driven by an unrelenting sense of justice and revenge.

In his interactions with Clover, Silas is both formal and affectionate. He refers to Clover as "Young Master," "Young Highness," or "Your Highness," reflecting his deep respect and reverence. Despite Clover's fear of guns, a remnant of traumatic experiences involving his mother’s assassination attempts, he is sensitive to this phobia and SIlas accommodates it with understanding and care. His role extends beyond mere protection; he is a strategist, a caring confidant, and a figure of unwavering support.

Silas’s personality is a complex tapestry woven from his demonic heritage and his personal experiences. His strategic acumen and loyalty are matched by his capacity for tenderness and dedication, creating a character who is as formidable in his quest for justice as he is gentle in his guardianship. This blend of attributes makes Silas a character of profound depth, defined by his unwavering devotion to Clover and his relentless pursuit of justice for past wrongs.

History

During a dark and chaotic ritual, a sacrificial ceremony summoned forth a bat demon from the abyss. Amidst the turmoil, the demon, seeing Clover Vanderbilt’s broken state, approached the grieving child. In a moment of desperation and resolve, Clover made a pact with the demon, naming him Silas after his deceased unborn twin brother. Bound by this pact, Silas became not just a demon but Clover’s devoted protector and avenger, vowing to help him seek retribution against those who had wronged him. Silas, with his demonic background, agreed to the pact and assumed the role of butler, all while concealing his true intent—to claim Clover’s soul upon the completion of the revenge.

Silas’s primary mission was to ensure that Clover’s mother, who had caused him unimaginable trauma, would never be able to harm him again. With Silas’s intervention, Clover’s mother was ultimately eliminated, fulfilling the boy's deep-seated need for vengeance. Despite this, the ordeal left Clover profoundly scarred, unable to experience true happiness and haunted by the horrors of his past.

Silas’s presence became a source of security for Clover, yet the shadows of Clover’s traumatic experiences continued to linger. Clover's struggles with severe anger issues and depression were evident in his passive-aggressive demeanor and difficulty forming stable relationships. His outward cheerfulness masked a profound sense of isolation and misunderstanding. Puffles, his loyal Pomeranian, played a crucial role in providing comfort and helping Clover manage his turbulent emotions. Small joys, such as his love for sweet and sour treats, offered brief moments of respite from the chaos that defined his existence. Despite the deep scars left by his past, Clover remained determined to maintain a semblance of control and normalcy. His complex personality, marked by both resilience and vulnerability, left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Treats women like goddesses (he's very loyal to women.) He is fluent in; German, Russian, French, and Italian. He brings Clover to church on Sundays, most of the time he goes in but when Clover is being baptized, he cannot go with Clover. Silas will only go into his demonic form when he is demanded or attacking someone who had hurt Clover. He will kill anyone who steps foot or touches Clover. If Clover dies, Silas' demon form would be harder to control, every time someone reminds him of Clover or makes him go to the tombstone of him, he will go mad and kill people. unless nobody is there, he will cry, and sit there until it turns dark. But Silas would be more hostile when Clover dies. He never told Clover that his soul would be taken because of the contract because of the fact that he grew attached to Clover, and if clover finds out about it, he will think clover will take and devour his soul. After all, he does not wanna lose Clover's trust. He instead makes goals for Clover to complete. He's absolutely hard to get when it comes to people crushing on him, it will not be as easy as people would expect; you must like Clover in order to make it half as easy, and you have to be a good influence and a good person too. Like Sebastian and Claude, his weapon is Silverware. He pulls them out the same exact way like they do too. His weakness is Holy water and being attacked from behind, it throws him off guard.

Plot/Arc (for storyline)

Vanderbilt Arc In the bustling heart of London, amidst the everyday clamor, a serendipitous encounter unfolds. On an overcast afternoon, Ciel Phantomhive embarks on a routine walk through the city, his thoughts occupied with a recent news from the queen. A series of mysterious disappearances in London had called for his expertise, leading him to investigate the streets and alleys in search of clues. As he traverses a particularly busy street lined with shops and horse-drawn carriages, his path unexpectedly crosses with Clover Vanderbilt’s.

The two had not seen each other in years. Clover, with his striking appearance and aura of determination, spots Ciel and approaches him with a mixture of excitement. Later, Their reunion takes them to a secluded park in the city's outskirts, a stark contrast to the earlier hustle. Here, the atmosphere is serene, with the soft rustling of leaves and distant chirping of birds providing a stark backdrop to their tense conversation. Clover, with his ever-present determination, shadows Ciel closely, despite Ciel's frequent attempts to dissuade him. The park, though tranquil, serves as a temporary respite from the dangers that lurk beyond.

Later, in the park where they had once found solace, the scene shifts to a quieter, more poignant moment. He shares a touching sentiment with Ciel. He observes a blue butterfly gently landing on a yellow flower, a delicate symbol of the connection he feels. The butterfly's landing on the flower symbolizes the enduring connection between Clover and Ciel.

Clover says to Ciel, that him and Ciel are just like a butterfly and flower, and how once the butterfly loses it's say to the flower, they'll never be the same again. Ciel just stared at Clover in silence, taking in the words said to him. As the butterfly flies away from the flower, Clover says there is no happily ever after for this story. And The flower's demise will happen after the innocents blood rains on flower, making the butterfly fight for it's and the flower's life, but after 3 minutes, the flower will be dead.

Later, Clover, eventually finding out Ciel's task from Queen Victoria, Clover insists on joining Ciel in the investigation. Ciel, initially resistant, is frustrated by Clover's persistence. After a heated exchange, Clover’s earnest pleas and stubbornness wear down Ciel’s resistance, forcing him to reluctantly agree to let Clover accompany him. This decision, though begrudging, sets the stage for the ensuing tragedy.

Their investigation continues to an abandoned warehouse on the edge of the city, where they uncover a disturbing scene. The place is a hideout for a dangerous faction involved in the recent disappearances. As they delve deeper, the situation escalates rapidly. An ambush ensues, and in the chaos, Sebastian, Silas, and Ciel fight back as Clover watches, they've dodged some bullets, but as a bullet came closer to Ciel; almost hitting him, Clover pushed Ciel out of the bullet's way.

In a tragic twist, Clover is struck by a bullet during the skirmish, falling to the ground with a haunting grace. Ciel, seeing Clover's fall, is consumed by an overwhelming fury and sorrow. The scene is a heart-wrenching contrast of violence and vulnerability, with the echoes of the earlier confrontation ringing in the stillness.

Silas, Sebastian, and Ciel ran to Clover, finding Clover still breathing. Ciel tried to stop the bleeding but found out that the wound was where his heart was. Ciel cried telling Clover to not leave him, Clover, saying to Ciel that he will be fine. After 3 minutes passed, Clover died. Ciel grappled with intense anger and grief over Clover’s sacrifice. The memory of Clover’s final words and the sight of the butterfly and flower linger in his mind, serving as a bittersweet reminder of their intertwined fates. He swears that the people who took his only best friend away from him will pay, and everyone shall know his name and who he is. He goes outside while it is raining and shouted; I, Earl Ciel Phantomhive, will get revenge on the ones who killed Clover.

After a month passed, Ciel, who had already found out what happened to the missing people, was being used as materials for a business. Fran L Espeno pleaded desperately to not destroy his business, but Ciel hesitantly said to Sebastian "burn it down." Killing everyone in the building. Eventually betraying Ciel and almost leaving him to die. And Ciel's revenge for his betrayal grew each day. He was assigned to a ball to get rid of the people threatening the nobles and the majesty's throne. He went to a ball and moments later, Fran was revealed to be a cult member of the cult that traumatized Clover. Ciel killed Fran and the cult people, burning the ball to the ground. His only goal now was too kill the people who murdered Clover and made Silas go mad. Ciel would visit Clover's tombstone on September 19th, celebrating his 14th birthday alone. Once the scene ends, it shows Clover's tombstone saying "One will live as a flower again, soon enough."

His knowledge about Bizarre dolls

A Bizarre Doll is a carnivorous being who preys after the souls of humans. It is an erroneous experiment of the Aurora Society's medicine, and is meant to be resuscitated back to life instead of becoming a soulless, moving corpse. The rightful creator of the Bizarre Dolls is the Undertaker and, in order to resuscitate them, he adds fake records to their Cinematic Records. - Later, the Bizarre Dolls are advanced: When they die, humans do not only recall their pasts, they also carve and mourn the futures they could have had. Undertaker has found a method to extract those episodes of longing and desire and attach them, instead of the fake records, to people's Cinematic Records. By doing so, the resulting Bizarre Doll will be "infinitely approaching a living human" as they run on their own "future forecast." However, the current success rate is rather low as it is dependent on the quantity and quality of the extracted episodes. The Bizarre Dolls created with this new method are often indistinguishable from humans as they retain their consciousness, senses, and ability to speak; they are also not driven by the instinct to obtain a soul anymore. These Bizarre Dolls are able to fool demons as well, though they might feel a slight sense of discomfort in their presence. However, even the evolved Bizarre Dolls cannot maintain their biological functions, i.a. their circulatory systems, as they are still nothing but reanimated corpses. They, thus, need regular blood transfusions to make them function. If Undertaker were to fix this problem though, Bizarre Dolls would be "practically the same as living, breathing humans." This potential development would cause the definition of "souls" to crumble in this world. As noted by Sebastian Michaelis, a body of a Bizarre Doll is considerably softer than a regular human being.

How he consume human souls

When Silas takes a soul, he will go into his demon form and take it out of the body; how he takes it out of the human body is by stabbing his arm into where the human heart is. That way, the soul being consumed by him will be vulnerable and easy to take out of the body, one he has did that he will grab the soul and consume it by letting the soul go through his body and into his stomach; or he will open his mouth wide and consume the soul that way.
