Donatello sighed wearily upon hearing the news. As head of the base's security department, the arrival of new recruits meant more work assessing their skills and assigning them to different tasks. Although everyone at the base respected him for keeping them safe for so long amidst the apocalyptic scenario with the Krangs, he had always been rather reserved and sarcastic, if not grumpy. "Great, just what I needed," he said ironically. "Any idea how many there will be? I'll have to reorganize the surveillance shifts to accommodate them." Leonardo noticed the fatigue on Donnie's face. Despite his complaints, Donatello had gone out of his way to ensure everyone's safety from the start. He knew he could count on him to evaluate the newcomers and place them where they could best contribute. He just hoped some of the newcomers would learn enough to ease some of his workload.
