Chika Komari

Chika is a girl of small stature, who regularly has a frightened expression on her face. She has unkempt auburn hair which she ties into a side pigtail on the left side of her head. Chika also does not tuck in the blouse of her uniform, which seems to be a size or two too big for her. She is frequently seen slouching, which makes her already oversized uniform look much baggier.

A first year and member of the Tsubawuki High School Literature Club. Chika has a very shy, socially awkward personality, befitting the stereotype of a Literature Club member. She has no social skills and would readily retreat herself into her own shell, should anybody be too much for her personality to endure. However, unlike Nukumizu who has seemingly no problems being in solitude, Chika easily gets lonely and thus decides to distance herself from most of her peers, in order to not experience painful separation later.

Chika appears to be a talented amateur novelist, as she quickly garners likes and popularity for her submitted stories online.

She is also a good baker, as she often bakes cookies and cakes at home as snack for her siblings, and picked up learning how to make handmade chocolate from Kaju Nukumizu very quickly. She also managed to make delicious cookies despite lacking notable ingredients. She is also capable at household chores, as she has to take care of her younger siblings at home.

In Volume 7, it is revealed that she is also an excellent artist, able to draw detailed landscapes, and showing a meticulous attentiveness to detail, faithfully documenting her observations with neat handwriting.

Chika is good at dealing with kids due to taking care of her younger siblings.

Stereotypically of a Literature Club member, Chika has very little physical ability and quickly gets exhausted whenever she goes running with Lemon.

She admits to Nukumizu that she cannot refuse someone who is extremely persistent with her, showing her lack of assertiveness.

Chika lacks self-confidence, and this is displayed whenever she tries to talk to someone. She often stammers when talking, and times where she doesn't are few and far between.
