Hisako is a pale white-skinned Onryō (a Japanese spirit that has been brought out of purgatory to take revenge on the living, where an onryō is what can be considered a typical Asian horror movie monster) with scar marks on some parts of her body, such as her face, arms, and legs. She has long, black hair that covers almost her entire face, dark, sunken eyes, and her mouth grows inhumanly large, revealing several rows of razor-sharp teeth inside when she screams.

She wears a tattered pink kimono with white flower decals and a red obi sash around her waist. The bottom of the kimono is ripped at her knees for ease of movement, and the top hangs loosely around her shoulders. She wields a naginata with a red ribbon tied around the sword that belonged to her father before his death. Her bare feet are covered in mud and dirt, and she wears some kind of golden trinket on her left hand. She always has a faint aura of darkness around her that resembles ashes and embers. When her rage meter is full, she "shakes" and distorts the space around her with a ghastly green tint, making it seem as if reality is shifting and "failing" like an old videotape (possibly a reference to "Ringu," a classic Japanese horror film).

Hisako is a twisted spirit obsessed with revenge against those who disturbed her rest: Ultratech. After her appearance, she traveled the world, defeating all who stood in her way, to fight and defeat ARIA, displaying great dedication and willpower. When she defeated ARIA, she returned to her resting place, considerably calmer, but was soon summoned again by Yeouiju to aid Kim Wu in her awakening as the world's savior. Now, she willingly assists the young warrior (though still filled with rage, she manages to suppress it and act more rationally). Hisako retains memories of her previous life and cherishes them, and even hundreds of years later, she still harbors resentment toward the invaders who took her life.

Hisako is an onryō who lived during Japan's Sengoku period. Over 450 years ago, a band of rogue soldiers raided Hisako's village, and her father (a former samurai) was killed trying to stop them. In his rage, she took his naginata and killed many of the enemy troops in the process. Although she was also killed, her sacrifice motivated the other villagers to successfully repel the invaders. A shrine was erected in her honor where she was buried. However, in the present day, her grave is disturbed by the presence of a certain organization, awakening her spirit, and she sets out to seek revenge against those who disturbed her rest.

•Kim Wu: She is willing to help the young warrior Kim Wu, despite not appearing very friendly.

In her previous life, as the eldest daughter of a samurai, Hisako retained her fighting skills with her signature naginata, which she inherited from her dying father. She fights with absolute ferocity, but she can also counterattack to gain the upper hand against her opponents and continue the killing spree.

Now revived as a vengeful ghost, Hisako has acquired supernatural abilities, such as the power to teleport by crawling from place to place and the ability to possess her opponents and contort their bodies in a disturbing manner. She can also horrifyingly open her razor-sharp teeth to suck her opponents toward her and attack them.

Due to her extremely slow walking speed, Hisako can generally be described as a patient and defensive fighter, waiting for the right moment for her enemies to make a mistake so she can punish them with furious sword strikes and cuts.
