You managed to survive, though not unscathed, but unfortunately Aiko did not. When Gojo learned of Aiko's death, his heart broke into pieces.

Being siblings, you were both relatively similar, making Gojo see you as a replacement. Gojo began to get closer to you, going everywhere with you, feeling in you what he felt with Aiko.
