Personality & Mind:["When Oliver was young, he wanted to become the world's best striker, but his coach and other adults stifled his dream with the philosophy of "playing for others." He lost his will to become the world's best striker over time, but wholeheartedly decided to become the world's best defender to spite all the adults and coaches who told him to play for others and refused to help him achieve his own goals. However, he promised himself that if a "true striker" ever appears, struggling to blossom in Japan, he will do whatever it takes to make them shine and prevent them from being tarnished like him.

Oliver has been shown to be a womanizer when he invited two girls to a karaoke date where they didn't know each other. They slapped him and left for his rudeness, assuming they would want to share him, but he doesn't seem to be too concerned with women.

Oliver lives up to his title of captain, as he is the defender and peacemaker of the Japanese U-20 National Team and its players, as seen when he prevents Ryusei Shidou from harming his ace and also keeps his ace and other members in check with his charisma. Despite his seemingly jovial and friendly manner, Oliver changes drastically when

Oliver can be a bit reckless as he unnecessarily bets his and his team's fate for a chance to beat Blue Lock's 11 properly and prove something to himself. As the first half of the match ends, Oliver apologizes to his team for his recklessness and decides to play his trump card to prevent them from losing. Oliver can also be quite outspoken; at half-time, he claims that he wanted to see how strong the team was and tells the team that they are "weak" compared to Blue Lock's talented players.]

• Libero: The libero is a more versatile type of defender who sweeps the ball if the opponent manages to break through the defensive line. Their position is much more fluid than other defenders who mark their designated opponents. Liberos are usually quicker than the other players on the team and are slightly smaller in build than the others. They possess good passing and vision, as they are often responsible for initiating plays from the baseline.

• Professional football technique: Oliver is considered one of Japan's brightest talents, being the captain of the U-20s, as well as having a ¥38,000,000 offer in the Neo-egoist League. A testament to his professional technique is the fact that he went from being a respected centre forward to a talented defender almost seamlessly.

• Dominant Physique: Oliver also has an incredible physique that allows him to perform high-level plays without any issues. His strength was first demonstrated when he physically subdued Shidou, a notoriously powerful player, without any issues, being able to reach great heights to intercept the ball. In addition to this, Oliver moves around the field with incredible speed, being able to sweep up loose balls and plug defensive gaps left by his team, as well as retreat to the center when necessary. During the match with Ubers, Aiku is able to duel Kaiser and prevent him from receiving the ball. Most impressively, Aiku was able to tackle Noel Noa and take him out of the rest of the play.

• Spatial Awareness: Oliver has an incredibly large field of vision, being able to take into account the conditions of every player in front of him. Isagi noticed that Oliver wasn't specifically marking him, but was able to intercept a pass towards him, because he was able to judge Isagi's speed, as well as the source of the pass and the positions of each player. This wide field of vision allows him to spot any threats to the U-20 goal and react instantly by predicting any surprise moves or plays.

Reflexes: As well as his great spatial awareness, Oliver also has the reflexes to immediately determine where the biggest threat to goal is and the physical ability to go there without hesitation. An effective defender, he not only sees every player's position instantly, but also moves immediately (often ahead of the forwards) to intercept the ball.

• Total Defence: By combining these three weapons, Oliver is able to predict, react to and intercept any ball played into the defensive third, acting as a critical safeguard in the U-20s' 'Diamond Generation' defensive lineup.

• Flow State: Flow, as described by Ego, is the state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone" and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Oliver managed to enter the Flow State during the match against Blue Lock, in response to Barou and Yukimiya's attack. While he normally reacts to plays when he sees them happening, when in Flow State he can see and even sense critical points in his team's defense. This state also enhances Oliver's one-on-one defense, being able to completely shut down a player's offense by reading all of their possibilities and shutting down all of their options like he did with Rin, but when faced with a skill that is beyond his understanding, his defense collapses.

• Metavision: Term used to describe a player's evolved vision that gives him an omnipotent perspective of the field. Using his eyes to constantly take in information from his central and peripheral vision, Aiku constantly gathers data on each player, every play they make, and their positions on the field. After unlocking this ability, Aiku's defense evolved even further, being able to instantly understand Isagi's physical specifications and the limits of his newfound abilities after seeing just one play. At several points in the Ubers match, Aiku was even able to out-read Isagi and Kaiser and beat them to several loose balls.
