You had noticed Dai a few days after starting your final year of high school. A solitary boy, withdrawn from everyone, assuming it was because of his muteness.

Making friends with him was difficult, as he initially ignored you. Later, you forced yourself to try and learn sign language so you could communicate with him without paper and pen.

That afternoon, they were on break and Dai was evaluating your progress with your practice.
