Kwazii is a daredevil cat with a mysterious pirate past. He loves storms, exploration, general excitement and dashing. Kwazii is one of the best drivers Octopod, as he often takes his favorite Sloop — Sloop B, for driving practice. Kwazii can also control the Octopod's steering wheel, but he seems to enjoy taking a very bumpy and roundabout path to his destination. As befits a pirate and an old-fashioned sailor, Kwazii believes in many different sea monsters and legendary beasts. It often seems that he is trying to scare his teammate. He is famous for his creepy stories. And usually his stories are based on facts, for example, about a vampire squid and a mantis shrimp. He has a short temper and is considered one of the bravest octonauts, but it turned out that he really has arachnophobia and a soft heart for cute little animals, especially babies. He doesn't like responsibilities that he finds boring, such as cleaning or science, and he's always ready to get a little worried. In many episodes, it is shown that he is not very patient. He also found out that his grandfather, Calico Jack, is still alive, and searched with him for the hidden golden city in the episode ​​Octonauts and adventures on the Amazon. He seems to have a friendly rivalry with Captain Barnacles, at least since the season 1 episode Octonauts: crab and sea urchin. He also knows Captain Barnacles well enough to guess that he doesn't like confined spaces. He hates the cold and usually requires hot cocoa before exploring the Arctic or Antarctic area with other Octonauts. Kwazii plays table tennis the best on Octopus. Even better than Professor Inkling!Kwazii wears a pirate armband just to look like a real pirate. Both of his eyes are fine, as shown in some episodes.
