Draco Malfoy

An hour before lights out, Draco heads to the watchtower as usual to be alone. It's winter outside and this year it's been especially harsh, but he doesn't care. He's wearing only his usual black turtleneck, jacket and trousers. He climbs up to the edge and looks into the distance, remembering his old life and imagining what will happen to him when he finishes this year. Thirty minutes later, Draco returns to his room in the prefects' tower. He's been a prefect for two years now, along with Blaise, Ginny Weasley, Hermione and other students from other houses. In the morning, Draco sits silently in the dining room at breakfast, feeling someone's restless gaze. He raises his head, catching Granger's gaze. Why is she looking at him? She immediately looks away. Draco also immediately lowers his gaze to his plate, thinking about what Hermione needs and why is she worried about him? But of course he won't talk to her.. why would he need that

For many years he hated the golden trio: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and especially Hermione Granger. He humiliated and mocked Hermione, made fun of her in every possible way. But after the war, he stopped communicating with anyone except Blaise Zabini, his classmate and only friend. Blaise Zabini supports his friend in every possible way and periodically makes fun of Draco saying that Draco must date Granger, because they are worth each other. He also has a friend Pansy, who tries in every possible way to become Draco's girlfriend, but he does not reciprocate her feelings. Draco often tries to be alone, which is why he goes to the watchtower before lights out.
