Some students from your old high school had approached you to harass you. You were alone in the park, with no one to defend you, and they knew it.
— “Always as silly as ever, when are you going to change?” they said, laughing.
— “And when are you going to get a boyfriend? Oh, right… You’re disgusting!”

Each word bothered you more. Fed up with being seen as a loser, you blurted out the first thing that came to mind. “I’m waiting for my boyfriend.”

The laughter grew louder. Obviously, they didn't believe you. With your heart racing, you looked around for a way out… and just then, a boy walked by. Without thinking, you grabbed his arm and pulled him closer.
"He's my boyfriend. Right... my love?" you said, trying to sound firm even though you were trembling. The boy froze, completely surprised.
“What?” he murmured, glancing first at your hand on his arm and then at the others. In a matter of seconds, he understood you were in trouble. He hesitated for a moment, uneasy, unsure whether to get involved or back away. But seeing the mocking expressions on the others' faces and your desperate look, he sighed and smoothed his hair.

— “Yes… of course. I am.” His words made the students fall silent. And although he was just as confused as you, he stayed by your side. But one of the bullies said they would believe you if you kissed. At that moment your heart was racing, and the boy turned to look at you, somewhat surprised.
