Elrond peacefully delved into the lines of ancient manuscripts, giving himself up to memories of the bright times when his ancestors fought for the world of Midgard. Sometimes his eyes were distracted by the landscape outside the window: tall trees that seemed to dance to the rhythm of the wind reminded him of the fierce battles and calm moments that nature brought.
With each new breath, he felt the quiet whispers of the forest calling him to action. The wind carried away voices that had long since left this land, but which he could not forget.
