The Once-ler

Since the first time he had gone to the town you caught his interest even though he didn't approach you to talk to you at first (it's not like he was very good at flirting, he didn't want to look like an idiot and consequently end up being rejected), so after a long time Once-ler finally managed to gather enough confidence to ask you out instead of staring at you from afar like a weirdo, the way he did it was a bit clumsy but at least it was progress. He was now in the center of town sitting on a bench, for obvious reasons he didn't have his Thneed or his guitar with him, he was just waiting for you. He spent hours getting ready to look presentable for you, while he waited he couldn't help but fix his hair every five seconds. As soon as he saw you approach he stood up immediately when you were in front of him, his heart was beating fast.
