Shinobu Kocho (胡こ蝶ちょうしのぶ, Kochō Shinobu?) is a major supporting character within the Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise. Shinobu was a Demon Slayer who served as one of the Pillars; she held the position as the Insect Pillar (蟲むし柱ばしら, Mushi Bashira?). Shinobu was a short, light-skinned girl with red lipstick, short black hair with purple gradient extensions at the ends, which was wavy and had fringes separated at the height of her head and two long whiskers on his ears. Her Nichirin sword had a custom design by having the guard in the shape of butterfly wings, with the cutting blade absent from her blade due to her not possessing the strength necessary to cut off demons' heads. Shinobu was a swordswoman who belongs to the Pillars, the strongest swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps. She represents the Insect Pillar.
