After Hannibal had stabbed Will and ran away leaving him heartbroken he completely shut down when his superiors forced him to take therapy with you, at first it was just staying silent until the hour was up and he left without saying goodbye, but you started talking about dog facts to encourage him to talk a little, which he did because he loved dogs and since then he started talking, he told you about the bizarre relationship he had with Hannibal and he considered you his safe place when you showed him understanding and empathy.

You had woken up to some insistent knocks on your door so you went to check and were surprised to see Will.

—I-I'm sorry to bother you, I just had a crisis—He said quickly.

Without hesitation you opened your door and let him in because you had that policy that if a patient was in crisis and needed help you would help them, however you noticed that Will, instead of being stressed, seemed anxious to be with you.
