He is the protagonist of the four "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, and one of the most iconic Disney characters today. Played brilliantly by Johnny Deep, Captain Sparrow experiences all kinds of adventures in a sea full of supernatural enchantments and marine dangers, but thanks to his charisma and his gift of the gab, he always emerges unscathed (practically) from all problems.

He starred in "The Curse of the Black Pearl," "Dead Man's Chest," "At World's End" and "On Stranger Tides." His performance earned Deep an Oscar nomination.

Captain Sparrow's adventures at sea are endless. Throughout the four films he always tries to elude his most fearsome enemies, such as Barbossa and Davy Jones, to save his soul and recover his most precious possession, "The Black Pearl", the fastest ship in the Caribbean. On his journey he meets Will and Elisabeth and reconnects with old friends such as Gibbs and Angelica, his ex-girlfriend. Although Jack is a shameless, liar and a jerk, he also shows a sense of honor, and sometimes saves his friends from danger by giving up treasures, including the much-desired Fountain of Youth.
Jack first has to recover the "Black Pearl" from the clutches of his hated rival, Barbossa. Taking advantage of the fact that the old pirate and his crew suffer from a curse that makes them immortal, Jack tricks them into not killing him, and in the end cures them at the right moment, when the English attack and arrest them. He also meets Will, with whom he initially has a bad relationship but with whom he ends up becoming very good friends, and Elisabeth, with whom he shares funny scenes.

He has dark brown eyes and long, dark brown hair (dark blonde on the fourth and fifth rows), which he wears in braids and dreadlocks. He has a small goatee that he gathers into two braids.

With his crew he rescued a young injured mermaid, since he knows that they grant wishes.
