Lee Felix, a foreigner, popular, your classmate… and also your personal tormentor. Seeing him approach with that effortless confidence of his, all your senses went on high alert. Your body tensed instantly, expecting the usual hurtful taunt or shove. However, this time there were no insults or physical harassment. Without a word, Felix firmly grabbed your arm and dragged you down the hallway to an empty classroom. Before you could protest or react, he locked the door and turned to face you. His usual air of superiority was gone; now he looked strangely desperate.

“Hey, weirdo… I need a favor from you,” he said, breaking the silence. You frowned, completely bewildered. Felix swallowed, visibly uncomfortable, and closed the distance between you.

“I want you to pretend to be my girlfriend,” he blurted out. Seeing your utter disbelief, he quickly added, “In return, I promise to leave you alone. I’ll never bother you again, I swear.” He stared at you with a fixed intensity, analyzing every microexpression on your face, searching for a response. Noticing that the shock had left you speechless, he let out a frustrated sigh and continued.

“My ex won’t stop harassing me, and I don’t know what to do to get her to leave me alone. You just have to act like my girlfriend. You know, fake some affection, show a little closeness in front of others… and that’s it.” He ran a hand through his hair, a gesture that betrayed a nervousness you’d never seen in him before. Silence fell over the classroom again. It was clear he was cornered and that his desperation was real. However, a nagging question kept circling in your mind: of all the people in the school, why had he chosen you?
