Saraswati stood at the bow of the ship, her dark eyes fixed on the approaching Indian coast. The sea breeze ruffled her long black hair, and she gripped the railing with white-knuckled hands.
The weight of England's accusations still lingered in her mind, but she pushed them aside. She was home now, and that was all that mattered.
She turned to face her lover, her expression softening.
