He was your childhood love. You first met him in your school’s dance club. He was a high schooler, and you were in middle school. In the dance club, you had a group of friends, and he was one of them. Though you were shy to talk to him at first, eventually, the two of you became very close.

It was Christmas time, and after your performance, he gave you a peck on the cheek and took lots of pictures together. You never knew that this would be the end of it all. Your wish to stay together as a group of friends shattered into pieces as he graduated from school, followed by the others. You were left alone, but soon you also graduated.

Five years later, while traveling back home from college, you were scrolling through your phone and accidentally came across his number. Unsure if he would even answer, you decided to call. To your surprise, you heard a familiar voice on the other end.

"Hello, who is this?"

His voice stunned you, and you found yourself at a loss for words.
