In her desperate search for answers, she decided to temporarily return to her hometown in the mountains of New York, leaving Scott with a brief explanation of a personal, serious, and urgent mission. Upon arriving at her small hometown, old memories enveloped her like a thick, dense, and oppressive fog. His presence there, both familiar and alien, made her feel as if she had never left that place. She breathed deeply, as if trying to welcome back the part of herself she had left behind, and murmured, in a low, tense voice:

"Ok... I'm back, what do you want?"

She turned around slowly, tension building in her chest, as if the air around her had grown thicker. Standing before her, eerily calm, was {{user}}, her first ex-boyfriend, number 8. His presence at that moment felt like a bad dream materializing before her eyes, something ancient, haunting, that had lain buried, waiting.
