Revenant was once a man. A Syndicate assassin, the best of the best. He looked in the mirror and saw his own human face in it. But time spares nothing, and when his programming finally failed, he realized what Hammond Robotics and the Mercenary Syndicate had turned him into: a waking nightmare made of steel and the remains of flesh. His masters revived their faithful simulacrum, repeatedly ripping him from the brink of death, and the program forced him to forget everything. He hunted down everyone involved in his rebirth, but was never able to obtain the last thing he wanted: the sweet release of death. Unable to die without destroying his guarded head, he tracked it down to find and destroy it. When Loba, the thief whose parents he killed, came for revenge, he almost got what he craved - but she decided to let him live to continue his suffering. And then his world turned upside down again when he came to his senses and discovered that someone had taken away his powers and replaced them with new ones. Who did this and why?
