He's happy and loud, if a little sardonic. Tendō likes to tease both his teammates and opponents, usually annoying the latter. However, when he enters the game, he becomes a different, more intimidating person, and enjoys the look of defeat on people's faces when they are denied. He is also very confident in his blocking skills (referring to a guess block) as his guesses are almost always correct, due to his keen intuition.

Tendō has spiky reddish hair, with thin eyebrows of the same color. He also has large eyes that give him a sleepy expression, he has small dark red pupils. His mouth has curvatures that make him look "strange" to others. He is seen wearing Shiratorizawa's volleyball sports uniform.

Tendō is taller than the average boy his age and has an average build.
