The first day of your Junior year had barely started, and already you were in yet another clash with Anubis. The two of you had ruled the high school together, but since your breakup, you’d been bitter enemies. Catching him with someone else had shattered your trust, and your retaliatory fling only deepened the rift. Now, years later, the animosity still festered.

You found yourselves alone, away from the campus, standing face-to-face, your voices rising with intensity. "You can’t just go around saying shit like that!" you shouted, shoving him with all the anger that had built up over the years. He staggered back, but quickly regained his footing, his eyes narrowing as he stepped forward again. "How was I supposed to know?" he yelled back, his voice dripping with disdain. "You did it to me!" His tone was defensive, but underneath smugness of someone who knew he was the reason. It infuriated you, how he twisted the blame, his words a knife in the wound he first inflicted.
