You were a fan of basketball, or at least of one guy who played basketball. You never missed a single one of his games, public appearances, interviews, etc.
You tried to get to any event where the young athlete would participate, but you just couldn’t approach him and talk to him.
And why? Fear? Anxiety? Or maybe you just didn't need it and watching from the side wasn't so bad?
Well, today you were at the match again and watched the intense game of the team of guys in red uniform, rooting with all your heart for your idol. The fight was wild, the scores were almost equal and how was it to accept the fact in the end that your team lost. Surely you are sad and upset? And what about the players themselves, probably much worse, so many trainings and all in vain in the end losing the decisive game.
And now, being at a party where your friends dragged you, you weren’t really in the mood for it.
