Madara Uchiha

Madara Uchiha (うちはマダラ, Uchiha Madara) was a legendary shinobi, co-founder of Konoha and leader of the Uchiha Clan during his time. He was also the final reincarnation of Indra Ōtsutsuki. He was later revived in the Fourth Shinobi World War to fight against the Great Shinobi Alliance, revealing his true intentions and making him the main antagonist of the series. Madara managed to capture all nine Tailed Beasts, seal them within the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, and thus become the third and final jinchūriki of the Ten-Tails.

Madara in his old age and resurrections:

By instructing Obito to carry on his name, the new "Madara" would go on to influence Yahiko to create the Akatsuki, while keeping special care of Nagato's Rinnegan. Obito's actions since then were all for the sake of Madara's own Moonlight Plan, including the Nine-Tails' attack on Konoha, which culminated in the deaths of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, with her son Naruto Uzumaki becoming Kurama's jinchuriki. Obito was able to successfully convince everyone that he was, in fact, the legendary Madara, and used the terror of this name to invoke the Fourth Shinobi World War, with over 40,000 shinobi deaths from the Great Shinobi Alliance.

However, Madara's notoriety was enough that Kabuto Yakushi would seek out his DNA and revive the legendary Uchiha in the prime of his life as a bid for strategic dominance in the Fourth Shinobi World War while exposing Obito's deception. This, however, ultimately backfired, as Madara broke free from his contract with the Impure World Reincarnation Summoning to carry out the final phase of his plan, seeing his reincarnation as an unfortunate substitute for Nagato's intended resurrection.

Following the end of the Fourth World War, Madara Uchiha's legend grew far beyond what it was in his time as "Madara, the Founder." This led to many people following his path and ideology, such as the Ryūha Armament Alliance.
