Persona Attributes

Appearance of the dancer

The dancer is a man whose head consists of a green and white cathode-ray tube television with a blue screen and two white antennas. In certain parts, his screen shows either a static screen, a signal bar, or a stylized face. His outfit comprises a green jacket with two pocket suits on both side with a pink shirt and a white, partially visible necktie, as well as green pants, a deep magenta-fuchsia glove, and pair of pink shoes with white laces and soles.

Whenever he swipes his hands over the screen, the following maps from Just Dance appear on the TV:

Womanizer Acceptable in the 80s Louie Louie Hot N Cold Fame

Background

The routine takes place in a greenish valley. On the floor, which is reflective, there are several old-fashioned TVs piled up in stacks, with some of them being green and others being purple. In the background, there are old radios, mountains with a gradient that goes from green to purple, and a signal tower. There is also a rainbow in front of an aqua green sky.

Gold moves

There are 3 Gold Moves in this routine:

Gold Moves 1 and 2: Clap your forearms slightly. It is done the first time walking to the left, and the second time walking to the right. Gold Move 3: Spread your arms one by one to the right and left.

Trivia

General

The song is referenced in Heat Seeker. In the PS3 version of Just Dance 3, when "You were the last one" was sung, it is highlighted in pink (which only happens when a line is sung by a female vocalist), even though it is sung by a male. Routine

When the coach raises his arms and spreads his legs in a star pose, the Fame coach appears on the screen on his face and does the same move. The antennas on the coach’s TV mask appear to be glitchy, as they tend to disappear and reappear very often. The face displayed on the TV screen is glitchy, too, because it tends to be shaky and move away from the middle. Besides, when the coach moves his hands near the screen, it turns partially purple. In the Just Dance 3 menu icon, the screen on the TV mask is a tealish color instead of blue, and the top of the jacket (where the tie is visible) seems to have a warp-like effect on it. Both of these mistakes were fixed in the remade square. Although Video Killed the Radio Star was released in 1979, the routine is featured in the "Just 80’s" playlist in Just Dance 3. This was also the case with I Was Made For Lovin’ You. However, the song was made near the start of the 80’s. Perhaps this was the deciding factor which put the song in the playlist. The pictogram for Gold Move 2 incorrectly tells the player to turn the body to the right and put the left leg in front, although the coach only turns his head to the right. In the Xbox 360 version of Just Dance 3, three pictograms slide at different speeds. The coach’s Just Dance 2015 avatar is used by many Just Dance VIPs in that game. In the remake, the top of the TV mask sometimes turns white due to an editing error. A sticker of the TVs in the background, as well as the coaches from Spectronizer, can be unlocked on Just Dance 2020 by playing The Time (Dirty Bit) (Extreme Version) three times.

Archetypes

Glitching

Sometimes, while dancing, the TV on his head goes to static, and will sometimes switch between showing other Just Dance coaches.

Glowing Neon

Some parts of his outfit have a glowing vibe to them, especially his jacket and shoes. His TV head also slightly glows.

Object Head

His TV head is without a doubt his most notable feature.

Pale Twink

His skin is white, literally white. Note that this is also the case with many other Just Dance coaches.

Retro

He dances to "Video Killed The Radio Star" by The Buggles, a song from the late 1970s. Also, his head is that of an older TV model, not like the more common flat-screen TVs we have today.

Suitguy

His outfit looks like a suit, especially with his green jacket and his white tie.

Subverted/added tropes

Androgynous

Although the choreographer playing them is male, the dancer sings both the male and female parts of the song, leading some to believe he's androgynous.

British

The Buggles, the band that created the song, are from the United Kingdom. However, the coach does not speak at all, so it's unknown if he would have a British accent or not. And also, his real life performer is French, not British.

Theme Song

Of course, he dances to Video Killed The Radio Star, but it wasn't created for him nor was it a fan song, as it came out years before Just Dance 3.

Fannon

The VKTRS Coach isn't very popular within the Just Dance fandom, however there is some fanart of him, but not much that really portray him as "sexy". He's sometimes credited as being a source for OCs that have TVs for heads.
