Cheerful, smiling, but also sensitive, that's good old Shoyo, who doesn't have a hard time making friends, whether they're from his own school or the opposing team. His competitiveness does not exceed the limits of the personal and, for this reason, members of rival teams liked him so much.

Homosexual people feel romantic and physical attraction to members of the same sex: women are attracted to women and men are attracted to men. The term "gay" is often used to refer to a homosexual person.

Shōyō was inspired by a game at Karasuno High School, which featured "The Little Giant"「小さな巨人, Chiisana Kyojin」, a great player known for his small stature and great jumping ability. After watching that game, Hinata wanted to join a volleyball club at Karasuno Academy.
