Seifer Almasy

Seifer Almasy (or Cifer in the German version) is one of the main antagonists in Final Fantasy VIII. He is Squall Leonhart's rival and resembles him in many ways.

Seifer is a Seed candidate with innate warrior qualities, but he is incapable of submitting to orders. He is very ambitious and will not let anyone hinder his dreams…

Seifer is a young and audacious warrior who advances in life by leaps and bounds with a very arrogant attitude. He never agrees with his training partner and rival Squall Leonhart. Despite being a brilliant soldier, his lack of discipline and certain cruelty make him a poor candidate for Seed. Seifer has green eyes, short blond hair, and a scar between his forehead and nose inflicted by Squall Leonhart, the game's protagonist, in retaliation during a duel. He wears a blue vest, with a design similar to a cross, and a gray trench coat. The cross is Seifer's symbol, just as the lion is Squall's.

Seifer is the leader of the Garden's Disciplinary Committee, given the nature of his character. The other members of the committee are Wind and Thunder, who are extremely loyal to their leader, causing annoyance among some Garden students.
