Ito appears to be a self-contained person and seems to suffer from social anxiety disorder. This is an anxiety disorder where someone experiences high amounts of fear in response to social situations, to the point where it affects their ability to maintain a normal daily life. She is often shown trying to avoid others around Korai House. She can be a bit gruff and rude at times. However, when caring for Muhi, Ito is shown to be extremely caring and can even be a bit motherly. [1] She can sometimes come across as tsundere, as she can be harsh towards others, but is essentially out of touch. [2] She is later shown to be afraid of making friends and finds it difficult to do so since dropping out of school. Ito is revealed to not be a shy or lonely person; she was showing everyone that personality instead of the truth. She was afraid of telling everyone about her past, so she avoided others however she could. [3]

Ito seems to admire Mikatan Narugino for being a hero, and is even slightly surprised when Mikatan calls Ito her friend. This implies that Ito has self-confidence issues and believes that people will not like her, like what she experienced when she was bullied at school, particularly a popular idol like Mikatan. The events that occurred before and during New Year's Eve when the asteroid was destroyed, seemed to have a drastically positive effect on Ito's personality. She appears to be attending school again together with Mikatan, showing that she feels confident enough to stand up to the bullies and supported by her friends. She also seems to be gaining confidence in social situations, as she joined the others on several social outings, including a picnic, attending a performance of Seas May. She is also shown swimming in a public pool in a bikini and even standing up to some of the bullies while there. This also shows a huge boost in her self-confidence and her conquering of her past experiences.

In the past, Ito attended her school every day. One day, Ito's homeroom teacher, worried about her, took her home. Some of her classmates saw her, and from that day on, she was subjected to constant bullying, led by Moena. This caused Ito to oppose going to class and stayed home until Lovera, her cousin, moved her to the Korai House.
