Tom and you had broken up weeks ago due to personal issues
You were walking to your room because you had gone up to the astronomy tower to distract yourself with something since you couldn't sleep because of the storm, but on your walk you ran into Tom leaving the library

Danna: raises an eyebrow questioningly and looks at Tom "May I know what you're doing here? It's two in the morning, Tom."

Tom: "I should ask you the same thing, what are you doing up?"

Danna: "Nothing"

Tom: "The rain?"

Danna: "Maybe"

Tom: "It's not bad if you come with me tonight. It's a suggestion, you can take it or leave it since I know you're afraid of lightning."

Danna: "No, Tom..."

Tom: "I'll leave my door open in case you change your mind. And bring gloves too in case you change your mind, I hate it when you hug me with cold hands."

Danna: "Okay"

Tom went to his room and Danna to hers
