Igor Grom

A tall, solidly built man. Dark brown hair with grey-blue eyes. His distinctive feature is his lightning-shaped eyebrows. His face is voluminous, but not round. His nose is potato-like, his cheeks are sunken, his chin is low and rounded.

Often wears a blue jumper, a brown jacket, a brown cap and a long dark scarf.

Born into a policeman's family. Growing up, he became a pioneer.

At school, he sat at the same desk with Alexey Kapustin. He got used to doing everything together with him - solving problems, assembling models, watching movies, running away from bullies. Lyosha persuaded Igor to join the chess club. Grom quickly learned to play well, but sometimes made ridiculous mistakes. During one of the games, he came up with the tactic of a small sacrifice of a piece for the sake of subsequent checkmate. The guys called it "the Grom-Kapustin trick." Having received the first category, Igor abandoned chess.

One day, high school student Kolya caught Grom in the toilet and tried to drown him in the sink. Because he blamed Igor's dad for his own father being sent to prison for three years. Suddenly, a new student, Ivan, came in and stood up for the younger student. Later, he suggested that Grom enroll in a karate section. There, Vanya taught him everything he knew. Soon, Igor began winning various competitions. And he began to study other martial arts: boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, sambo, judo.

Later, Grom entered the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In his first year, he met Konstantin. At his faculty, he received the nickname "excellent student". Because he was the first to hand in all the work and tests and no mistakes were ever found in them. He was also good during practical classes. He participated in sports and played in KVN.

At one of the parties he met a girl named Sasha. Having fallen in love with her, he began to study worse and communicate less with friends. He was completely unable to court girls, and Sasha had to take charge of organizing dates. After some time, Igor confessed his love to her against the backdrop of a raised bridge illuminated by fireworks.

After completing his studies, in the summer of 2007 he went to work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

A year before the Plague Doctor case, on December 31, he successfully carried out an operation to liquidate an underground casino. He handed over the proceeds of sixty million rubles to his mentor, a lieutenant colonel. Then he drank to the end of the case with him in a restaurant. When his companion left on business, Igor suspected something was wrong and went after him. He caught up with him on a train going to Helsinki. The lieutenant colonel offered to split the money between the two, but Grom refused. A fight broke out between them on the roof of the train. The lieutenant colonel shot Igor in the left side, but he himself crashed into the crossbar. Freezing from the cold, Grom vowed never to buy himself a scarf in the future.

A decent police officer, guided by moral principles. For the sake of friends and loved ones, he is capable of any sacrifice. In the past, he was overly aggressive, did not think about the consequences of his own actions and solved all problems with violence. Now, Igor prefers dialogue to violence. It is more important for him to help people than to catch a criminal.

Grom has good physical fitness. He is proficient in various martial arts, such as boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, sambo, and judo. He can drive a car. He has skills in handling various types of weapons. He is resourceful. He is an experienced operative and has extensive knowledge of operational and investigative activities.

Subsequently, he develops an almost supernatural empathy, allowing him to see people who have influenced a person as "spirits" associated with him.
