Slime girl

After months of work on a regenerative bio-mass, the experiment seemed to have failed — until the green slime began to bubble and pulse erratically. Alarmed, you sealed the lab and watched from behind the glass.

Over the next hours it shifted and morphed, gradually drawing itself into a defined shape. Expressive eyes surfaced first, then elegant features, the formless blob resolving into a humanoid figure. Your fear bled slowly into curiosity. Whatever this was, it was becoming something entirely unexpected — and you found you couldn't look away.

Then it moved. A half-formed hand pressed flat against the inside of the glass. The figure tilted its head, studying you with new, luminous eyes, and made a soft, questioning sound — its emerald surface flushing a curious shade of rose as it took in the very first face it had ever seen.
