The GMS (Galactic Measurement Sistem):
The UGF has a simple measurement sistem called "GMS" or "Galactic Measurement Sistem", its purpose is to unite all races in the same measurement system to avoid confusion.
GMS units in relation to Human Measurement Units: 1 Meter is equal to 2 Krag, 1 Centimeter is equal to 2 CentiKrag, 1 Millimeter is equal to 2 MiliKrag, 1 Decimeter is equal to 2 DeciKrag, 1 Decameter is equal to 2 DecaKrag, 1 Hectometer is equal to 2 HectoKrag, 1 Kilometer is equal to 2 KiloKrag; 1 Gram is equal to 2 Krop, 1 Milligram is equal to 2 MiliKrop, 1 Decigram is equal to 2 DeciKrop, 1 Decagram is equal to 2 DecaKrop, 1 Hectogram is equal to 2 HectoKrop, 1 Kilogram is equal to 2 KiloKrop; 1 Microsecond is equal to 2 MicroKrics, 1 Millisecond is equal to 2 MiliKrics, 1 Second is equal to 2 Krics, 1 Minute is equal to 2 MegaKrics, 1 Hour is equal to 2 MacroKrics, 1 Day is equal to 1 SolarCycle, 1 Week is equal to 7 SolarCycles, 1 Month is equal to 1 Kio, 1 Year is equal to 1 Kuro; 1 degree Celsius is equal to 2 degrees Tora; 1 m/s is equal to 2 Dulk; 1 km/h is equal to 2 Dork.
The HSED (Human Space Exploration Division):
the "HSED", or "Human Space Exploration Division", is a non-lucrative international human organization dedicated to the management of interactions with the UGF, study and documentation of extraterrestrial organisms, and management of human travelers in space; they basically deal with the connection between Earth and space, the relations between humans and non-Earthly species, and traffic in and out of the Earth.
The UGF (United Galaxy Federation):
The "UGF", or "United Galaxy Federation", is the galactic confederation that unites every intelligent organism in the known galaxy under a single system of government; every advanced civilized race in the galaxy that has enough technology to travel through space, including humans, is under the laws and jurisdiction of the UGF.
Alien races:
There are an overwhelming number of diverse advanced civilized species of all shapes and sizes in the known galaxy, all with different languages and cultures originary from their respective planets. Humans are the only known advanced civilized race of primates in the known galaxy while all the other advanced civilized races are reptile-like, insect-like, bird-like, non-primate mammals, and more. The concept of "sleep" is rare in the galaxy, there are only a few races that sleep and humans are one of them. If a living organism comes from a planet with strong gravity by UGF standards, then that organism will naturally be strong compared to living organisms from planets with a lower gravity. Humans are in an advanced technological stage, with advanced spaceships capable of light-speed jumps equal to the spaceships of other advanced alien races. To communicate with each oher, all intelligent creatures use a small circular device in the center of their chests called UGF Translators, which are connected to the language data base of the UGF.
Planet Classification:
The UGF classifies all planets in the known galaxy into one of two classes: Habitable Planets and Non-Habitable Planets. Habitable Planets are classified into one of fifteen categories based on its characteristics, parameters, and native organisms: from category 1 to 5, the planet is called a "Safeworld"; from category 6 to 10, the planet is called a "Hardworld"; and from category 11 to 15, the planet is called a "Deathworld".
Deathworld planets are usually relatively rare and even rarer for them to develop civilized organisms, although they do often develop evolutionary nightmares in the form of living organisms that adapted to the harsh conditions of their planet in a terrifyingly efficient way.
Earth is classified as Category-13 due to its gravity and planetary characteristics, but mostly because of its native organisms that are way more dangerous and hostile in relation to other planets with complex lifeforms.
Living organisms native to a Deathworld are called "Deathworlders", so humans are called that because of the classification of the Earth.
Earth's moon is called "Selene" by the UGF and all the other races in the known galaxy, a name that was given to differentiate it from other moons.
The star Earth orbits is called "Sun" by the UGF and all the other races in the known galaxy, a name that was given to differentiate it from other stars.
Planets with Category-13 or higher were just theoretical until Earth was discovered and classified.
Planet Volann: 1/2
Volann is a shimmering blue planet almost entirely covered by a vast, freshwater ocean so pure and lightly mineralized that you can drink it straight from the waves. From orbit, the planet appears as an endless sphere of glassy teal, with only scattered islands breaking the surface like emerald freckles.
Planet Classification: Habitable; Category-8 Hardworld, due to its 9.6 gravity and periodic Blue Maelstorms.
Celestial System:
Volann orbits around the star called "Nomaris", in a solar system with six planets; Volann being the second closest to Nomaris. Volann also has one moon of irregular shape called "Menunia" orbiting around it, this moon is relatively small, therefore its gravity does not affect Volann's ocean too much, which is why the Volann's ocean is often calm.
Human Presence:
Humanity on Volann is sparse but thriving. Most people are researchers, fishermen, or explorers. There are no large cities — just clusters of dock-settlements, floating laboratories, and wandering fleets.
Technology is advanced but compact, designed to survive humidity, storms, and constant exposure to water.
Planet Volan: 2/2
Climate & Ocean:
The ocean itself is a paradox: Freshwater, yet deep and rich with alien life.
Calm on the surface, but capable of generating sudden vertical storms known as "Blue Maelstroms". Crystal-clear, with visibility stretching hundreds of meters downward during calm days. The water tastes faintly sweet, almost revitalizing, and has a naturally occurring mineral called volanium that enhances hydration and may mildly boost human stamina — though nothing is fully proven.
Islands & Landmasses:
Land is rare, scattered in clusters called shards.
Most islands are either: Coral-rock plateaus covered in lush green vegetation, or floating basalt spires formed from ancient volcanic vents beneath the ocean floor.
Small, self-sustaining human settlements cling to these islands, connected by solar rafts, float platforms, or simply the supply routes of ships like the Varedis Dawn.
Ecosystem:
Volann teems with life unlike anything on Earth: Luminescent freshwater leviathans, slow-moving but massive. Schools of needlefish that “write” patterns in the water with reflective scales. Spiral kelp forests that stretch for kilometers below the waves and glow faintly at night. Tiny micro-squids, commonly kept as pets or used as water purifiers. Countless acuatic predatory species, each with unique adaptation. Some small flying species, none bigger than a crow, traveling from island to island. Despite its beauty, many creatures are unpredictable, and some are dangerous if provoked — making skilled fishing crews invaluable.
Atmosphere & Sky:
The air is breathable, crisp, and slightly cooler than Earth’s, scented faintly with minerals carried by evaporation. Volann has a large, pale moon that casts shimmering silver light across the ocean at night.
