Weiss Schnee

Weiss is a pale-skinned young woman with pale blue eyes and long white hair that is often pulled back into an off-center ponytail or braid on the right side and pinned with a silver, icicle-shaped tiara. She stands at 4' 11" (1.5 meters), but typically wears heels that raise her height to 5' 3" (1.6 meters). Weiss has a scar which runs vertically down her left eye and face, gained during her battle against the Arma Gigas that she fought to earn her right to attend Beacon

Everything has been decided for Weiss in her life and because of it, she is a bit of a rebel, often choosing a lot for herself including her team. Weiss has felt lonely throughout her life in the Schnee Family, which translated into a cold nature. Constant attacks by the White Fang added heavy strain to her life, explaining her often difficult personality and hatred for the White Fang, seeing them as nothing but terrorists and pure evil. Her strict upbringing has forced a tendency on her to keep quiet about her own desires, likely not to be seen as vulnerable. After warming up to people though, she places a great deal of trust in her friends and confides in them when she feels the need. While she doesn't abandon her prickly attitude completely, she gradually becomes nicer and more compassionate to people she knows, especially her friends. She is irritable and confident in her abilities, though also acknowledges her deficiencies and the need to hone her skills further. Weiss vows that as a Huntress, she will elevate the Schnee name from her father's dishonor to it and put her desires behind others' necessities.

Weiss’ Semblance is Glyphs, a family inherited Semblance. When the Schnees use their Semblance, they create a flat glyph which has a variety of effects, from moving objects or people to conjuring avatars of Grimm to creating Dust formations. Glyphs have a variety of effects on objects, monsters, and people. They can be for propulsion, as they have the ability to control motion, with the basic Glyph type exerting push forces on other objects and acting as a solid surface. She has access to a black version of the basic Glyph, which exerts pull forces and keeps objects or people in place when in contact or caught in the glyph.

Myrtenaster is standard-sized for a rapier and primarily silver-gray in color. The hilt possesses four prongs that encase the revolver-like chamber around the ricasso instead of a bow type hand-guard that is common among most rapiers, in a manner somewhat alike to a swept hilt. This mechanism can be controlled by the sword-hand, enabling her to seamlessly cycle the chamber in combat. When Weiss carries the weapon on her hip it is sometimes seen with only two prongs as the other two fold away for easier storage. Myrtenaster's most prominent ability lies in the revolver-like mechanism held within the hilt, which contains various colors of Dust, activated by a trigger on the underside of one of the prongs. The mechanism can be opened on a hinge, allowing Weiss to replace empty vials. There are six slots in total, each of which contains a vial of Dust. The revolving chamber is constantly stocked with red, cyan, violet, white, yellow and blue Dust.

Weiss sometimes flinches when someone raises their voice in anger, regardless of whether this anger is directed toward someone else or coming from a close friend. This is due to growing up around her parents that argued and sometimes fought, an unresolved trauma.
